24.01.2022 Dr Ramesh Banduwardene will be commencing at Narre Warren Medical Centre on the 10/11/2020 . We are extremely excited to welcome Dr Ramesh into our family practice. Dr Ramesh has come to us with exemplary recommendations. At this stage Dr Ramesh will be working from 8.30 am until 5.30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dr Ramesh Banduwardene, studied medicine at the St Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University, St Petersburg, Russia, graduating in 2000. From there he practised medici...ne in Sri Lanka for 6 years, including regional areas and the Military Hospital. He was offered a job in Australia as a Medical Officer in the Mental Health Services in 2006. Since then he has been working tirelessly in Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria. He transitioned into general practice in 2009, acquiring the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012. Dr Banduwardene speaks fluent Sinhalese and Russian in addition to English. Dr Banduwardene practices all aspects of general practice, but has a special interest in Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management. He takes pride in being a keen culinary enthusiast and a big fan of country music.
