25.01.2022 OPEN GARDENS UPDATE: Unfortunately there are a couple of changes to the Open Garden program. 29 Weemabah St, Trangie will not be open to visitors as advertised. Geoff Swane is unable to be in the "Muntham " garden talking roses due to ill health. We would like to thank him for offering to be there and wish him well.

23.01.2022 Tim Williams from Alan Coates Cancer Centre in Dubbo with Rose Maunder. Tim was guest speaker st last month's Cancer Patients' and Carers' meeting . Such an interesting session. This month on April 18th Felicity Roberts one of our local pharmacists will talk about pain management. Felicity was a guest speaker last year however many were unable to attend.... These sessions are held on the third Thursday of the month, 10 am at Community Health - and are completely free to attend! They are a great source of information as well as an opportunity for people to interact in a very casual setting. Everyone in the community is welcome, not just those affected by cancer so come along and be informed - so please share this post with anyone who you think would be interested.

23.01.2022 On March 8th the Royal Hotel was host to a large and very enthusiastic crowd who came to support the head and beard shaving of 6 locals raising money for our Cancer Support Group. A huge thank you to John Clarke who is the instigator of this event held every 2 years. A phenomenal $6306 was raised through sponsoring, raffles and donations. What a magnificent effort!... Thank you also to those who were brave enough to let Chris Anning and team ( thank you once again Chris) take off all that hair, namely John Clarke, Cooper Anning, Zeke McNaught, Nick Wright, Steve Clarke and Mick Weir. Great work boys! Last but not least thank you very much to those who donated raffles and to everyone who sponsored and attended making it such a successful event. Mel Culkin and Simon Newman said they were run off their feet in the kitchen and the bar staff also. Just terrific! We are extremely lucky to live in such a caring community. Here are some snaps from the big night! Feel free to tag and share :-)

10.01.2022 What an incredible result. We sincerely thank Namoi Cotton for coming on board with this fabulous fundraiser, the brainwave of Robert and Susannah Tuck. Also a huge thank you to all the butt donors for their generosity! Amazing! This money will be used to help people in our Shire who receive a cancer diagnosis and have to go away for treatment. We need approximately $40,000 a year to keep our gift program going so this will be a huge help.... We are so fortunate to have so much support for this very important cause. See more
