18.01.2022 MEDICATION NEWS UPDATE ISSUED TODAY.... Just an update for everyone as it comes to us...... Today Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Paul Kelly, announced a number of actions to reduce stockpiling of medicines, helping to make sure people can access the medicines they need. Changes include:... Pharmacists will only be able to dispense one month’s supply of certain prescription medicines at the prescribed dosages Certain over-the-counter medicines, including paracetamol, Ventolin and other salbutamol inhalers, will be limited to one pack/unit per purchase Pharmacists are encouraged to limit the supply of all other medicines to no more than one month’s supply per purchase Children’s paracetamol formulations, such as children’s Panadol, will be held behind the counter to assist in allocating supply adequately. Please share this post with your friends and family so everyone is kept up to date. We appreciate this may cause inconvenience and frustration, therefore we ask for your patience as our team carry out the changes. During that time we have been fortunate to have worked with many amazing team members who have dedicated themselves to the Narromine community. Unfortunately we have come to the end of that journey and from today our association with the Narromine Pharmacy comes to an end. 12.01.2022 Flu vaccines are an important tool for safeguarding your health at this time. We can vaccinate people 10 years and older. 09.01.2022 Narromine Pharmacy have taken technology a step further this week, with the installation of an "Alpaca"! That's the name of the new state-of-the-art medication packing robot that our team are getting familiar with this week. The Alpaca offers peace of mind for anyone who takes multiple medications or needs help remembering which dose is to be taken at the right time and day. We liaise with your GP, keep your scripts on file and then package the medication in a clearl...y marked pack with your details. More information coming soon about this new safe and convenient service available in our community.
