22.01.2022 Here are some wonderful images from NCO operators Sandra and Wilco, dairy farmers in Clydebank, Victoria who run Wilandra Farms. They have been working hard to ensure their on-farm practices result in happy, healthy cows that produce nutritious milk. Also, they aim to help mitigate climate change, by building plant diversity, improving soil health and biodiversity. The cows in the dairy yard have a massage brush which they love, how content is that beautiful cow!! White flowers surrounding the cows in the crop are tillage radish that’s going to seed. They use radishes as part of a pasture mix because it has a long root that helps aerate the soil. #nasaaorganic #ncocertifiedorganic #certifiedorganic #organicliving #chooseorganic #sustainingpeopleandtheplanet

19.01.2022 The SA Councils Consultation process has now closed and numerous SA councils, including councils from the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa and other regions are now are applying to the state government to restore their region as a GM-free crop zone. These council’s decisions reflected the needs and wishes of local farmers, food and beverage businesses, and the community to benefit from the growing global demand for non-GM food products. However, t...he ultimate decision as to whether these regions are allowed to declare themselves GM-free lies with the Primary Industries Minister David Basham, with the GM-Free declarations to be published in the Government Gazette before November 15. To support these regions and their communities it’s vital you contact Minister Basham to keep as many regions of South Australia GM-Free as possible. Here are several ways to support the GM-Free regions of South Australia. Sign the petition (see link below) or Contact Minister Basham directly on 8226 2931 or via [email protected] See more

18.01.2022 This coming week is Nov 8-15 is Australian Pollinator week it acknowledges our important and unique pollinators to raise awareness of how important they are. Some super facts. Most pollinator species are wild, including more than 20,000 species of bees, some flies, butterflies, moths, wasps, beetles, thrips, birds, bats and other vertebrates. We need pollination of plants to lead to fertilisation and good fertilisation helps plants develop seeds and fruit that feed countless ...animals in the world, including us!!! They drive biodiversity, globally, nearly 90% of wild flowering plant species depend, at least in part, on the transfer of pollen by animals. (IPBES, 2016) They provide essential ecosystem services in the natural landscapes as well as within agricultural/horticultural and urban environments. In other words we need to support and look after all the pollinators because they look after us! Sustainable Agricultural practices help by working in harmony with nature, by sustaining the health of the soils and ecosystems. #nasaaorganic #ncocertifiedorganic #sustainingpeopleandtheplanet #healthypeople #healthyplanet #australianpollinatorweek
