24.01.2022 Well week 1 of Master Practitioner is done! It feels so good! 7 days straight of learning in a techo kinda way. Via zoom! It was fantastic and has opened my eyes up to endless possibilities! Pretty darn proud of myself for bending this spoon too! Oh the power of the mind is magnificent!!
23.01.2022 In a stage 4 lockdown l find it amazing what l can experience from my home office! Last week l attended some amazing training. It actually felt like l was in the training room with everyone! I especially loved the breakout rooms. It felt very "Harry Potter", teleporting to an unknown destination. I would head off into a breakout room and wait with excitement to see who would be joining me, it was wonderful! We would work together as if we were in the room together. This persp...ective is something l never would have done if not in this unique situation. Normally to get to my training it's a trip the the airport, then a 2.5 hour drive to the beautiful Yorke Peninsula. This time l was there with the click of a button and home equally as easily! As much as l love being in the training room this was a wonderful experience! Goes to show we are never too old to experience new things! 22.01.2022 So l don't know what day it is, which means my training is going very well! I love immersing myself in learning. Day 1 had so many wonderful moments, this little gem was one of them - "Our words do not describe the world we live in, they create the world we live in!" What words do you use to describe your world? Are they describing something great?
22.01.2022 Stress... How often do you hear yourself saying or thinking "l am stressed"? Remember that by saying "l am" stressed this is a direct message to your unconscious mind to "be" stressed. "I am" is who you identify yourself as. If you replace "l am stressed" with "l am feeling stress" this is then acknowledging that stress is a feeling rather than part of your identity.... For example instead of l am stressed. What if you thought "l am awesome and right now l am feeling stress". This is a message to your unconscious mind that you are awesome and have feelings! A lot different to telling yourself l am stressed! So having said all of that next time you think/say l am stressed. Stop! and think wait a minute l am wonderful/calm/kind (insert how you identify yourself) and then, acknowledge you are feeling stress. Then sit back in your chair, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and tell yourself "l am..." See more
21.01.2022 I have noticed that Christmas causes angst for some. It's not all happy families for everyone. So what can you do? We know we cannot change those causing the angst, what we can do is adjust our expectation. It's a big call! Tony Robbins says to replace expectation with appreciation ( l said it was a big call!)... So let's give it a go... What do you expect? If you shift your focus, what could you appreciate? Start with things in general about Christmas that you can or do appreciate already to get the ball rolling. It's like a long list of what you are grateful for about Christmas. Now write that stuff down! Can you see there are some (maybe even lots) of good things about Christmas for you. The next step is to make a list of the expectations you have for yourself and others. Are you ready....replace those expectations with appreciation... It's a few weeks to Christmas, practice the appreciation each day, just a little Everytime you catch yourself getting worried or feeling stressed go back to your list of what you are grateful for, what you appreciate and focus on the good bits around Christmas. 18.01.2022 Boundaries, do you set them or do you just go with it? One of the many things we learn about is knowing our values or what is important to us and then setting boundaries (among other things) that are in line with those values. Once you set them you will notice that the only people who are not happy with them are those who have been crossing your boundaries! It's something to think about.... What is important to you, what boundaries do you have to support those values? It's one thing to set them, the next step is to take action to support those boundaries ...
15.01.2022 Training starts today at 2.30pm Let the fun begin! Normally would be on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula, then hoped to go to Rye, then thought the spare room will have to do! Then realised there is a big on line game of "Dungeons&Dragons" happening all afternoon in the next room, too much laughing there! So back to the drawing board! Have set up a nice comfy corner in my bedroom which will be just perfect! Let the fun begin
14.01.2022 There is a lot to be said about taking time to smell the roses. Napping on the couch, getting my 11000 steps in for the day. The feeling of being relaxed after a year of uncertainty. My Christmas wish is that everyone gets to pause long enough to truly appreciate who they are and what is important to them. Take what is important to you with you into 2021 and let all that other stuff go
14.01.2022 Another great day of learning today! We did so much, started at 9.30am and finished up at 8pm, the day just flew by! Did some homework after that too! I so love what l am learning, especially knowing how l am going to be able to help so many more people with these wonderful tools. Truly feeling grateful that we can "zoom" into the classroom and feel so connected despite the fact that we are not in the same location! It's so great The other great thing is that l got rid of so many limiting beliefs and limitinng decisions today, wow, what a day! Also grateful l got to walk with one of my classmates this morning and am using a journal l was given recently to make notes
13.01.2022 Well it's nearly time to start week 2 of my Master NLP training refresher. I got so much out of the 1st 7 days, l am so excited for the next 7 days! So much learning and so much more to learn On a side note, I have been listening to this every night for about 3 weeks now, thought l would share as the relaxation alone is awesome....and l feel lighter!
11.01.2022 I still don't know what day it is! I do know it has been a wonderful day of learning. Feeling so very grateful that despite travel restrictions l can still attend this training, all from home. Have been walking in the mornings, get to see the fam, it's wonderful! Even though I do miss being at the training, l am still learning so much!
