08.01.2022 I’d really like to be clear on what the potential and likely cause of Alex’s stroke is. While 30% of the time the reason a person had had a stroke can not be id...entified, Alex’s medical team are quite confident that his family history will be the main cause of the stroke. Alex unfortunately has significant imediate family history on both his paternal and maternal family side. This is likely to be a genetic issue that will likely be passed down to his four children. Alex has undergone genetic testing and results take three months before this can be completely confirmed. Locally there has been a member of Alex’s community strongly advocating to a number of clients and friends, that Alex’s stroke is a direct result of the COVID 19 vaccination. While both Alex and I respect others right to choose to vaccinate or not. We do encourage people to vaccinate, so that other families do not have to experience the excruciating trauma of being unable to be with loved ones in hospital, because unvaccinated people are hospitalised with covid 19. Alex and I do not believe that his Stoke is vaccine related. And more importantly the medical professionals who have been looking after Alex over the last 6 weeks have not raised concerns about the vaccination. Alex had his Pfizer vaccinations prior to his stroke. HOWEVER it is very important to know the Pfizer covid 19 vaccination has not been linked to stroke as an adverse side effect. It is highly unlikely that the Pfizer vaccinations Alex received played a part in his stroke. We wish to be very clear - we do not believe that COVID 19 vaccinations resulted in Alex having a stroke. We do not hold the same options as the person making these claims. And we would highly encourage anyone undecided on having a covid 19 vaccination to seek research, information and appropriate advice from trained medical professionals who are involved directly in the vaccination roll out, over the research of people in unrelated medical feilds. We do not wish to be associated with this claim at all. Natasha and co x
