25.01.2022 On 5 November 1920, Mary Rogers became the first woman to be elected to local government in Victoria. She was elected to Richmond Council. She advocated for equal pay for women & maternal health centres among other things. It is humbling to learn that today, 5 November 2020, a century later, I have been provisionally elected by the people of Edendale to represent them on Nillumbik Council. Thank you Edendalers! Together let’s put community back at the heart of our Council.
18.01.2022 Congratulations to the team at Diamond Creek Medical Centre for delivering 100 years of health care to our community. Thank you for your extra efforts during this time of pandemic & for putting a smile on our dials with your awesome 'iso' happy birthday time warp dance. Love you Nurse Sally .
14.01.2022 Transparent & meaningful community consultation is something many of you told me during the election campaign that you wanted. It is something I want too. Please take a moment to have your voice heard regarding 'the good, the bad & the what can be done better' of community engagement by Council. You'll need to be quick as Council is closing the initial chance for you to have your say soon. Deadline has been extended from this Friday 13th November until to Sunday 15th Novembe...r. Use the link below. Whilst I'm not a Councillor until Tuesday 17th November you're welcome to post comments to me as well but I would encourage you to make it formal by using the link to Council's website. https://participate.nillumbik.vic.gov.au/community-engageme
10.01.2022 Lots to smile about. What made you smile today? * no new or no active COViD-19 cases in Victoria * being able to walk outside without wearing a mask * sunshine & an act of kindness from a friend put a smile on my dial!
07.01.2022 Underneath my mask is a smile to match the emoji on the Diamond Creek Trail. The VEC declared the Nillumbik Shire Council election results today announcing me as the next representative for Edendale Ward. Thank you for your support. Thank you for putting your trust in me. I am keen to learn & listen. Let's work together to enhance our community. I'd like to acknowledge John Dumaresq for his tireless efforts over the previous 4 years for Edendale & Nillumbik. Thank you John!... A new Council means a new journey & I'm excited to be navigating it with the people of Edendale. Thank you to all candidates for your willingness to serve our community & to voters for having your say. I will work for you all. Keep following this page for updates & please get in touch if you have ideas or questions or feedback you'd like to share. With sincere gratitude, Natalie

02.01.2022 It's almost official. Tuesday 17 November 2020 is the day I become your Councillor. 01.01.2022 We've heard the saying 'it takes a village to raise a child'. Well, I've felt it's been a village of kind & generous people supporting me in this run for Council. Thank you to all of you! Thank you for your encouragement to be courageous. The VEC start counting the votes on Tuesday & this might take a week or two. Whatever happens, thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. There's been lots of walking, talking, observing, thinking, drinking & chocolate eating ...& no doubt there will be more. Thank you for putting up posters in your yards, helping me deliver flyers into letterboxes, for accepting those flyers even if you have a no junk mail sticker, for your conversations, emails & phone calls, for signing my petitions & surveys & for voting. These COVID-19 times haven't been easy but they certainly have helped us remember how important it is to be healthy & connected to family, friends, community & nature.
