25.01.2022 Feeling so happy and relieved! My journey to getting that MBA is finally done! It was such an intense period juggling study, a lot of travel, my consulting work and starting a social enterprise. Now time to celebrate and a massive thanks to my husband who kept the household running!

25.01.2022 The Diploma of Governance delivers impacts that far exceed the days we spend with our Not-for-profit cohort. Like all the groups I have the pleasure of leading through the program, you are an amazing group of people who are changing our world! I love when I hear how the Diploma has "far exceeded" a students expectations and how Mandy is surprised at how much shes learned about not-for-profit sector governance.

24.01.2022 So proud to be presenting findings with Allison Long FRRR from our community roadshow helping regional development organisations to understand how they can leverage the resources and wealth of value the NFP sector brings to economic development projects. We were welcomed with a fabulous local leader Shannon, who shared some of his history and culture. #ARDC Association for Sustainability in Business Inc

21.01.2022 Dads and mums are the backbone of so many volunteer groups and community events. Ive worked with a lot of great dads on projects that wouldnt have happened without their passion to make a difference. Theyve driven projects like tennis resurfacing; football stadium lights; mountain bike trails; dog rescue centres; childcare centres and accommodation for remote and rural patients. Thanks to our wonderful volunteer dads for doing their bit for their family and community. #fathersday #volunteersrock #iclick2learn

20.01.2022 What a fabulous day today facilitating a funding strategy! Love these sessions where ideas + energy deliver action! One insight I shared today for fundraisers is to reflect and review how your fundraising initiatives align on the profit versus purpose matrix. If they arent purposeful how will you engage people and if they dont deliver enough profit/return are they worth doing?

19.01.2022 Another fabulous scholarship for all those women wanting to do a Diploma in Governance!

19.01.2022 A great scholarship opportunity specifically targeted at regional, rural and remote board, staff and volunteers to achieve a Diploma of Governance!

17.01.2022 So lovely to receive these from a client. Working in the NFP sector is reward enough but gosh its just that little bit more heartfelt when someone gives you flowers

17.01.2022 What a fantastic project. The key ingredients for successful community projects = a leader who can inspire others to follow; showing volunteers tangible returns for their time - quick wins; projects that involve the community and a plan to build and ensure on-going impact through resource sustainability. Amazing project demonstrating how one passionate person can change their world.

17.01.2022 The value of collaboration. Far too many community organisations in communities feel they need to compete for the funding dollar. This success shows that collaboration, while it can be challenging, its so worthwhile to come together with a common goal. Funders like to know that their investment has a deep impact, that its not just dealing with issues at the surface, but things that a few organisations have joined together on. Congratulations to the Wangaratta community.

12.01.2022 Oh this is sooo exciting!! When a valuable project is approached at the right time just after I had developed all the supporting material for a funding business case and they were able to provide everything the funder requested as they undertook their due diligence. Massive kudos and congratulations to two driven women Donna Rees and Rachel Mills who have been the rock behind the project and have put so many years work into this.

12.01.2022 Had a fantastic day facilitating a workshop for CWA NSW with Megan Dixon. Love working with strategic thinkers and passionate community members. The CWA is a powerhouse of women who have made significant improvements to communities through advocacy and programs. Proud to be part of a team helping them set their direction for the next few years.

12.01.2022 I received the sweetest phone call yesterday. As many of you would know, I give a lot of support/advice etc. helping great NFP organisations and projects. Unfortunately, although many are successful, as they arent clients I dont often hear the results directly from them. Im sure its not deliberate, but they have moved on until they need help next and Im a bit busy to chase everyone up! A few months ago I helped mentor Suzy, who wrote a grant application for a womens l...eadership program and she rang to say she got the project funded and was in the top 6% of applications. Ive saved her message for when I need a bit of a boost - you are amazing at what you do and my results are a direct consequence of that. Feeling chuffed. When we spoke, Suzy mentioned shes already repurposed much of her application in other applications since, so that is fabulous. I love my job - helping people make a difference in our communities!!
