18.01.2022 Authenticity is a practise.... The longer you practise it the more authentic you become. The you sitting here today is embracing a level of authenticity. Whatever level that is, is based on your capacity to love and accept yourself fully and courageously express and be that in any given moment. For most of us, the reason we may choose not to be authentic is because of fear. Fear of not being accepted or loved, fear of being rejected, fear of being vulnerable. ... Most of us think we are scared of OTHERS and how THEY will react. However, in allot of cases we are actually projecting the way we think and treat ourselves outwards. Presuming others will do the same as what we are already doing to ourselves. So by being inauthentic to ourselves we are choosing to hurt and crush ourselves before giving others the chance to. So often we choose to avoid difficult things, that awkward conversation where you tell someone how you feel, that job you know you want to leave, those habits you keep indulging in that you know aren’t serving you. I encourage you to go into these things with love, courage, strength and support. Allow that thing that you know is about to explode or fall apart to do just that. Stop wasting your time and energy trying to hold something together... that (in it’s current form) is not right for you. There is infinite lessons, freedom and growth as you face it and go into it. It is easier to blame and judge people and situations and not take responsibility for our own experience. The truth is, if you want your experience of something to change YOU must first change. ... I certainly do However, I am coming to learn and appreciate that on the path of evolution there are many people who are playing important roles.... Similar to movies, if they were all heroes and lovers the story would actually be pretty boring. I am absolutely not advocating the need for excess drama and negativity in life. A certain amount of it is necessary though. Enough to show you some contrast. Enough to make you realise hey I don’t really enjoy this ..... From this contrast you are inspired to evolve and go beyond your current way of being. This really is what inspires us to evolve. The villains of your life are playing an important part. Maybe you are not yet at the place where you are ready to award them a Logie for their performance As you look back can you see how people and experiences that seemed negative actually contained the greatest lessons and growth ? 13.01.2022 So often we use the mind to come up with pro’s and con’s, to try and predict outcomes and to play out every possible scenario in our minds. I like to call this Analysis Paralysis ... While considering the best option for ourselves is relevant to a degree, so often we employ much more thinking than we need to. The truth is, we never actually REALLY know for sure how anything is going to go or what the outcome is going to be. The only way to get REAL information is to move in a direction. Once you make a move more information will come. Maybe in the form of it feeling good and right for you or maybe not. With this information we can then move again. We can always move again.
