This is very symbolic day for me, because exactly 5 years ago I started my independent photography journey in Australia. 18.01.2022 My kids hate photography and ruin every shoot. This is one of the most common concerns of my clients. What if my baby is not in a good mood? What if kids are not cooperative with you? They never listen when I ask them to pose. Last but not least desperate phrase: We never have nice family pictures, because it’s so hard to make my child smile to the camera! It is so familiar to me and I believe to my husband. Not because he needs to make my kids smile and pose, but becau...se he is the person who has to smile and pose! Luckily he is an adult and will do anything for his family. You know, happy wife, happy life! Of course nobody, especially little kids (who are not so responsible like our husbands), like to do all that boring stuff. This is the key! It is just boring. That’s why I have a few tips how to prepare your kids for awesome and fun photo shoot. Don’t tell them the main goal is beautiful photos. You are not doing the photo session tomorrow, you are going to have a great time together on a beach or at the park, walking and having fun. There will be a nice lady (yes, I am the nice one), who will be taking pictures of us. It’s a special family day! Ask kids, what they want to play with on your special family day. They can give you some great ideas for the pictures! Maybe they like balloons, so we can bring along a basket and have a vintage photos. Or your little daughter is dreaming about a picnic in the garden with her favourite dolls. Don’t forget to help find the most photogenic ideas (use Pinterest). Plan something really nice to do after the portrait session. It might be dinner at a cafe or a movie night. Your kids deserve the reward, and honestly, you deserve it aswell. Make this day truly unforgettable. Why not to turn it into a little fiesta! Those easy tricks are very helpful for parents as I noticed and I believe, family shoots should be done for the pleasure of everyone. @ Long Reef Beach
