25.01.2022 Sharing is caring! In this unprecedented time, my family decided to offer some of our herbs to the local community! We see more of our neighbours out walking these days and now they can pick up something extra to make their meals amazing! #gardening #herbsandspices #tastydinnerstocome #brisbanedietitian #sharingiscaring @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

18.01.2022 While watering our cabbages, look what we found...pretty sure it's a Cascade Tree Frog but if anyone knows better please let me know! Love our garden! #frog #greenfrog #treefrog #backyardgarden #freshveggies #cantfinditagain

18.01.2022 Radishes is excess? We had some of these absolutely beautiful looking radishes all ready at the same time, so of course we now need to eat them up somehow. Tonight I'm trying sauteed radish with carrot in a blend of olive oil and butter with garlic, salt and pepper (see next pic). Smells devine! I'll be presenting this as a side dish to a roast for the kids to try IF they want. No pressure and maybe their curiosity might mean they'll have a taste. But with any new food, it ...is just seeing it, and talking about it's sensory properties is just the start of acceptance. Do you have any radish recipes to share? #dietitian #healthyeating #brisbanedietitian #fussyeaters #gardening @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

10.01.2022 Check out the free health checks for kids at QUT in January 2020!! This includes a chat with final year students in podiatry, exercise physiology, optometry and of course nutrition and dietetics!! It really is a fantastic way to do a quick check in before school starts back!

09.01.2022 Do you have a child with ASD? This webinar could be really helpful for you! Learning about the Ellen Satter model could really help you feed your child as we know how selective they can be. The webinar is in USD$. If you would prefer to see someone face-to-face to get support that is individualised for your child and family situation, I am here to help. In the meantime, this webinar would be a great place to start! https://www.ellynsatterinstitute.org//web-autism-parent.ht

05.01.2022 Here is a nice compilation of photos and messaging around the most helpful ways to feed your kids. Maybe just try one point you think you might need to work on... I've definitely had to tone down the "talk too much about nutrition!!"

04.01.2022 I thought this clip was a good piece of information for families who are looking for plant-based alternatives to meats. As Susie says, please read the labels, and maybe avoid the highly processed vegan alternatives. Of course, one off use here or there isn't a problem, but stick with your legumes like chickpeas, red kidney beans, lentils and butter beans, and tofu for the least processed plant based proteins. Bean burgers anyone?
