12.01.2022 Just wanted to thank everyone for the messages and support since Sunday everyone has been really kind. My friends and family have been amazing. For those of you who dont know I had a fall off Vulcan at Friends of werribee. Slight rider error He left a leg and we fell. Vulcan was fine, I unfortunately I landed on my head and I was knocked out and broke C6&7 in my neck. Although straight after accident I felt fine I even walked to ambulance. I went a bit down hill in ambula...nce and we were diverted to Royal Melbourne hospital. (Where they just about know me by my first name I was on same ward as my pelvis) I had servere concussion and the discovered I had shattered C7 and fractured C6. I had no loss of sensation which was amazing!! Initially I was told I wouldnt ride again if they had to fuse my neck it with metal. Lucky for me on Wednesday I had surgery to remove bone fragments and graft bone from my hip into my neck and it went as well as can be expected and after 6weeks in a neck brace and 6months I can try to ride again. Mum is a bit cagey about it but will see how my recovery goes. Maybe Im crazy but I hope to get back eventing, even if its just lower levels. 03.01.2022 Gisborne Horse Trials this weekend so good to be back out eventing or mud running!! Even stumpy was pumped to be back at an event!! He had a haircut this week incase it was hot but it was quite the opposite. It was very wet conditions but so glad the committee went above and beyond to let us be able to run. Ollie (Parole E) had his first eventing start. Unfortunately no ribbons but very proud of the little guy. My other ride The Ruckman came home with 7th ribbon. 02.01.2022 The end of the eventing season has given me time to do more on my 4yo baby horse. Jaybee Balagio, Borris to his friends had his first dressage competition today at Randall Park. He was well behaved just a little bit spooky and green for 62% and 64%. No ribbons but happy with how well behaved he was for his first ever competition. Looking forward to his future in eventing next year. Borris is sired by Baluga (imp) out of Jaybee Lady Gloria.
