16.01.2022 Said this on a webinar the other day and thought damn I should I write that down. Reach is when they are AWARE engagement is when they CARE. Why would your audience care about your content if you are focused on attracting people outside of your existing following. Your primary objective is not even designed to add value to them!! When you think about it, its no wonder there is so few that makes social media work for them. If you want people to give a f*** about your content try giving a f*** about them first. 16.01.2022 It may seem like a lot has been happening in my career lately. Most of the time you just see the positive stuff that goes on. The awards and milestones. Very few people see the otherside of this journey as an entrepreneur. The challenges, the disappointment, the setbacks, being ripped off, blamed for things you didnt do... and all the pressure along the way. You may be experiencing some of this, and I want you to know that you are not alone. We all go through it. Some moment...s have been so overwhelming that I easily could of packed it all in. But then I remember how far I have already come. I remember not being able to afford to pay my electricity bill and keep the lights on!! Then I look at myself in the mirror and ask myself "where is the opportunity in this?" And I move forward. Thats what seperates the successful from the unsuccessful. If you are struggling in your business, ask yourself, "where is the opportunity in this"? And dont forget to celebrate the wins when they happen too! Yesterday I was interviewed by @thewestaustralian along with @brookevulinovich I am excited for my Mum @michellebibbyrealestate to wake up and see her son in the newspaper hehe. I am grateful for the wins but just as grateful for the challenges. Even though they dont feel good at the time, those moments made me the man I am today. And I am proud of that. 11.01.2022 While I dont have any of my own, kids inspire me so much. When they are out there climbing trees or trying to kick flip a flight of stairs. Ofcourse we want to keep them safe. But having a go, taking risks is how you build self-confidence. Dont bother them too much when they are skateboarding. While they are falling over grazing themselves, they are learning the most important lessons in life. Acknowledge the effort and always support them to get up and get back on that boa...rd. Giving up on your dreams can be as simple as one day deciding not to get back on that skateboard. Whether it is because they were told off for boardsliding the library staircase or they hurt themselves so much they are scared to try again. That is all it takes for people to start to resent the world. The most powerful thing in the world is being able to push yourself, be the master of your own destiny. You will fall over for sure, but you will also triumph eventually if you dont stop trying. That is what life is all about my friends. 08.01.2022 The metrics on social media are pretty clear. Likes, followers, comments, views etc. There is a scoreboard. ... The challenge with social media is there is a temptation to get these numbers up. In the process comes a desire to please as many people as possible. It is a race for the masses. But trying to get everyone onboard dilutes your power. The value you can provide is limited when you are trying to cater for everyone. If you create content that everybody wants, you become average. If used right, social media can attract people that are craving something unique and special just for them. If you are primary aim is more followers, more likes, more views.. You are aiming to be average, not stand out. Instead of trying to reach everyone, choose a small group of people that you vibe with. Create content just for them. 100K followers who think you are average pale in comparison to 50 people who care about what you have to say. You won't need to keep yelling at people to pay attention then, the people in your tribe will tell their friends. This is not a popularity contest, this is about building relationships for the longterm. Build a community not a fan club. See more

05.01.2022 You are crazy!!! Thats what I hear all the time when I tell people I create a months worth of content in an afternoon. By nature we all want everything to be perfect, but perfection is completely subjective. ... What you think is perfect, I could look at if and say, "that is mediocre." Something you think is terrible, I could look at and say, "that is perfect." On social we are all trying to show highlights of what is going on, we want to put our best foot forward. But the statistics say, what works best on social media, is the imperfect, the raw and real. We worry what other people may think, is our grammar right, do we look professional in the photograph. And so, we hold ourselves back. I have been there time and time again. Until I developed the framework, my brand voice and a process for batch creating engaging content. This is the primary reason I am starting the 30 day social media bootcamp. To come out the otherside not only being able to create a months worth of content in half a day. But to develop the confidence to put themselves out there in an authentic, imperfect way. To make your brand human, real, and magnetic. One of the questions I am asked a lot, is what is the most important advice you have ever received. Or what is the number one thing you would tell young adults starting out in their career? There are lots of decisions that dont really matter too much if you get wrong, you can always learn and correct them later. But one decision that will make or break where you land in life is who you decide to spend your time with.
