We take our responsibilities seriously and we stress that the testing of critical mechanical components on heavy vehicles from 3.5 tonne upwards is necessary for driver and public road safety. All heavy vehicles that have been involved in an accident, no matter how small including when a wheel has been hit or hit a kerb must be tested. The only way to determine the damage and ensure the sa...fety of the vehicle is by a thorough inspection. When the vehicle has been dismantled and crack tested, we often find damage to stub axles, shafts, pitman arms, kingpins, steering box, turn table and jaws. We strongly encourage all operators of heavy vehicles to insist on crack testing as an absolute necessity to ensure the ongoing safety of their vehicle. 17.01.2022 Continuing on from our post on the 10th: Once the checks and mechanical repairs were completed, the large trailer was moved into the huge 24-metre specialist spray booth, where it received multiple coats of high gloss 2Pak PPG enamel paint. After baking at high temperature for approximately 50 minutes to fully cure the paint, the trailer was removed from the booth, cleaned and, ready to get back to work, prepared for delivery to the very happy customer! #NathansSmash #quality #PPG #CustomerService #smashrepairs #refinish

06.01.2022 This large, heavy duty trailer suffered considerable damage after being hit by a machine. A significant piece of equipment vital for our customers business, Nathans was appointed to complete the smash repair, including a new paint job, as quickly as possible. Our team completed extensive dismantling and a check of the mechanical components was carried out, including crack testing and wheel alignments.
