24.01.2022 There have been some questions relating to carbon filtration and how carbon filters work. Its funny, because we all tend to run out and spend all of our money on N95 masks which are completely useless when it comes to long term protection, but when a new improved technological mask is created, we have 100 sceptical questions about it. Carbon dioxide is one carbon atom and 2 oxygen atoms. Its weight is around 45g per mole. Ambient oxygen is just 2 oxygen atoms and has a molecu...lar weight of 30g per mole. Carbon dioxide (the air you breathe out) has a much higher atomic mass to that of oxygen. Carbon filtration blocks the carbon atom from penetrating through the filter. Remove the carbon atom, remove the molecule of carbon dioxide. Also remember that most bacteria and pathogens require the carbon atom to survive. This is why the SHIELD mask is paramount to protecting those who wear them. The P.E.T. materials of the fabric will act like a spider-web for external bacteria and the carbon filter will simply filter out all carbon atoms, rendering bacteria obsolete. 23.01.2022 Is alcohol really that effective? Why are we stuck in this ridiculous mindset that we MUST use alcohol to sanitise? What does the science tell us? Most wipes are isopropanol based. This means they contain a form of alcohol as their main ingredient. Alcohol is traditionally used for fast disinfecting, the lifespan of each application is less than 30 seconds. Alcohol also damages skin, removes paint from surfaces and cracks leather and vinyl. These are the consequences. NCA use the alternative of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QUATS). QUATS have many benefits to alcohol: they denature the protein in bacteria and viruses by removing the mitochondria and cytoplasm, rendering the cell destroyed.
