15.01.2022 Footage of students of Marsden State High School fighting man sparks investigation Queensland police are investigating footage of a brawl allegedly involving a ...group of high school students and a member of the public. Footage shared on social media shows at least three students from Marsden State High School in Logan appearing to attack the man - who is wearing a bike helmet and appears to be aged in his 40s. The man is seen in the video being repeatedly knocked to the ground, allegedly by students. He also is allegedly kicked and punched by students, footage shows. Further footage shows the man chasing a student on a bike with what appears to be a bar-like weapon. There are reports the man was armed with a taser. It’s believed the incident took place outside school grounds. The Queensland Department of Education is aware of an incident involving a group of Marsden State High School students which took place yesterday afternoon in the vicinity of the school, the department said in a statement on Tuesday. The school will continue to cooperate with the (Queensland Police Service) ongoing investigation into this matter. Counselling and guidance support is being provided to any students affected by the incident. It is unclear what provoked the confrontation.
