25.01.2022 The Coral Sea Commemoration included the ujnveiling and blessing to the RAAF Wall. A number of branches of the services have Walls in the grounds



24.01.2022 March of the Dungarees139 Army Cadet Unit re-enactment march Date: 1219 December 2015 Event summary: Stepping off in Warwick on 12 December, cadets from 139 Army Cadet Unit aged between 13 and 19 will march 239 kilometres and arrive in Brisbanes CBD on 19 December. Cheer on the cadets as they walk in the footsteps of history, passing through Allora, Clifton, Greenmount, Wyreema, Helidon, Gatton, Laidley, Rosewood, Ipswich, Moggill and Kenmore. To commemorate the 100th anniversary, a plaque presentation will take place each community/town the original march passed through in 1915.

20.01.2022 Following the Service at Rowes Bay (the correct spelling) members and guest adjourned air-conditioned comfort of the RSL where we had a presentation of a Meritorious Service Award to long standing and very hard working Phil Nicholson, two Education Bursary to Sebastian Muir-Smith and Matthew Astbury, grandsons of members and four Widows pins (I can count, I wasn't quick enoough to get the first photo). 19.01.2022 National Servicemen celebrate National Service Day at their Memorail in National Servicemen's Park at Rose Bay in Townsville thanks to support from Townsville City Council, Sallyman (woman), St John's First Aid, 1 RAR Band and Brigadier Field. Seven new plaqueds for deceased members were dedicated and honoured.

14.01.2022 Commemoration of the Battle of the Coral Sea held at the Memorial in Cardwell today. Contingent from HMAS Cairns, 1RARA Band from Townsville, U.S. Marine Lt Col from Canberra representing US with message from President, large contingent of Nashos from Tablelands, Cairns, Innisfail, ingham, and Townsville Branches, ex- service and community organisations attended

11.01.2022 Commemoration of the Battle to the Coral Sea was held at the Memorial Coral Sea Memorial in Cardwell, NQ. The guest speaker was the US Ambassador to Australia and service was led by the l Chaplain to HMAS Cairns. Participants at the march and service were members sailors from HMAS Cairns, National Servicemen from Townsville, Ingham, Charters Towers, Cairns, Tablelands. and Bayside (Brisbane); RAAF Assn, Naval Assn; RSL; War Widows, Nurses and local community groups.

10.01.2022 Nasho Day in Townsville was celebrated with the Service at our Memorial in National Servicemen"s Park in Rowes Bay followed by lunch at the RSL. 170 attended the lunch with about 200 at the service

The main event was the Delegates and General Meetings on Saturday with the March amd Memorial Service at the Naval Cadets at TS Moreton. Brian Bertwistle of Gold Coast North received the Rowland Williams Memorial Trophy for his outstanding of work on tghe Light Museum at Mudgeeraba
