09.01.2022 National TaeKwonDo Holiday Training Programme This is just a guide but try every other day. Steps 1-9 are fine for kids steps 10-14 would suit adults:... 1. Warm up doing 2 minutes of skipping. (If you do not have a skipping rope use your belt or an old piece of rope) 2. Run through your pattern x 2 3. Do 10 push-ups 4. Do 10 sit-ups 5. Do 10 star jumps 6. Do 10 squats 7. Run through your pattern x 2 8. Practice 10 front snap-kicks left and right leg 9. Practice 10 side-kicks left and right. These next techniques can be done on a punch bag or they work equally well in front of a mirror: 10. Fighting stance jab (left), reverse punch (right) for 30 seconds swop so the other leg is in front 30 seconds. 11. Fighting stance front snap-kick (left leg), jab (left), reverse punch (right), no step. 30 seconds each side. 12. Fighting stance jab (left), reverse punch (right), turning kick (right leg), return kicking leg behind you. 30 seconds each side. 13. Fighting stance jab (left), reverse punch (right), hooking punch (left) no step. 30 seconds each side. 14. 2 minutes shadow sparring or on the bag. Repeat steps 2 to 7 again. Obviously if this is too easy up the numbers or the number of repeats On top of this try and eat in moderation, drink plenty of water, get plenty of fresh air, run, swim, bike ride and help out around of the house. All will keep you fit and healthy rather than sitting around. Have a great Christmas be safe and happy.
