24.01.2022 No NBN service still today, so phones aren’t working. We’ve jimmied up mobile data to maintain EFTPOS. Please use 0439711177 to call if it’s important.

21.01.2022 HB Locals: Now that everyone has started to settle in with smaller & more sensible orders and we’ve had several pallets of stock roll through, we’ll be able to relax the buying limits on more items gradually over the next few weeks. We have relaxed the buy limits on some items and removed them altogether on others already. Please keep in mind, if we’re limiting things, it’s being done through necessity. Tantrums won’t get you more, though they may get you less. Keep in mind ...- if we could get it, we’d have it. If it even existed in australia, we’d have it. If we have an alternative that works, we’ll offer it. Simple stuff really. As stands, orders placed with one of our major suppliers on 6th april are being picked today (14 day backlog) though the backlogs should start to ease over the next few weeks and provided there’s no more outbreaks or other safety issues, we should see continual improvement in supply coming through. Keep in mind many items are manufactured and or packaged overseas in the UK and NZ, where closures may cause some ongoing supply problems. Out of some 3700 different products we hold, around 3200 are still in stock, though supply may be rationed out to stop hoarding and keep it fair for the majority. (sorry - not sorry) Those customers who had left call back numbers for when stock arrived would have received calls for a number of products on backorder this morning. We will hold these products for 2 days unless specified differently. internet/Distant Customers ordering: we’ve just placed further grain yeast and hops orders again and these will start rolling through later this week. So far so good on most items and lines. Over 99% of orders are still being processed same day. Some areas are experiencing delays with delivery and Australia post can not guarantee on schedule deliveries due to the volume of parcels being handled. Out of our control, sorry. OS customers: International Orders have been suspended for the foreseeable future due to major hold ups on airfreight/airmail services. We’d like to help out, but due to major disturbances on freight movements and deliveries in most countries, we cannot guarantee delivery of goods in good condition. Doing our best with what we have to work with. Just think: we’re another day closer to this nightmare being over.

18.01.2022 STOCK IN TODAY: MORGANS COOPERS WILLARDS... ALCOTEC Due to short supply of a number of items, we have restricted a limit of 2 of any one item including but not limited to: Essences Yeast Packs (Non Beer) Carbon cartridges Fermentation packs Beer Kits Beer Blends We expect supply to be interrupted for some weeks yet as the situation develops and evolves in both the UK and NZ where the major manufacturers are. Everyone's doing what they can when they can as they can with what they can. Patience please. We'll advise over the weekend as we get closer to further restrictions on shop access. We've got a plan B and a plan C. Please note limit of 2 customers in the shop at any one time.

15.01.2022 Hi Folks, just a little (long) heads up on what is happening in the world of home brewing supplies and how this affects us all. We have seen some significant improvement i areas within the supply chain and our importers and wholesalers are working really hard on getting supply back to normal. The issues within Australia relating to COVID-19 and high demand for some supplies ( both consumable goods and equipment ) meant that Australian based warehouses were impacted significan...Continue reading

05.01.2022 CHRISTMAS NEW YEARS TRADING Hi folks, we will be closing the shop between Christmas and New Years, (Closing 5:00 pm Xmas Eve - Opening again Monday 4th January) it’s only 3.5 extra days off to recharge the batteries a bit. Please ensure you stock what is required for this period before Xmas Eve.

05.01.2022 HERVEY BAY LOCALS: This weekend we’ll be modifying the shop internal layout and we will be closed from Tomorrow afternoon at 5:00pm. Reopening with some changes on tuesday Morning. As we move to zero contact, the shop counter will be placed at the front door. When you come in, a team member will select your required goods and the transaction will be done at the door. Zero Contact required. For anyone who wishes to place orders first, they can be placed by either phone on 412...82033, email to [email protected] or via the website www.nationalhomebrew.com.au and using the contact us form. A team member will check on stock availability and get back to you by phone ASAP to make arrangements for payment or collection. We’re in unchartered territory and we’ll work out any glitches along the way. Bare with us. With the current limits on buy volumes, stocks are slowly (in the main) getting back to normal, though there are still significant delays having our orders filled and transported from some suppliers. (this isn’t a local problem, it’s not even a national problem, it’s an international problem) If we are patient, stocks will normalise faster and we can all get back to some semblance of normality. DISTANT CUSTOMERS ORDERING BY INTERNET: Stocks of most items for the all grain brewers are holding out and generally at least, well over 99% of orders are still able to be processed same day for dispatch. We’ve seen the odd glitch on delivery times blowing out by a day or two, largely due to the couriers in some city areas being run off their feet. It appears to be easing. Next week or early the following week, we’ll be receiving some large grain and hop shipments.
