25.01.2022 The NSW Government has released the first annual report on its 3-year NSW Koala Strategy and it makes for encouraging reading. The Strategy is the foundation of the Government's longer-term goal to first stabilise koala numbers across NSW and then increase them. The 2018-19 Annual Report can be downloaded from this page.

08.01.2022 It was a full house this morning at ifaw and Bangalow Koalas first landholders workshop where we giving away 10,000 trees to prospective landholders who fit within the koala wildlife corridor. People came from four shires Byron, Ballina, Lismore and Richmond Valley and the team will be visiting properties over the next couple of months to assess their suitability for the corridor. Thank you to the wonderful team Linda Sparrow, bush regenerator Rossco Faithfull and ecologist Renae Baker. 03.01.2022 Koala Conservation Australia (aka Port Macquarie Koala Hospital) has announced the postponement of the 2020 National Koala Conference scheduled for 15-17 May 2020 to the latter part of 2020. The decision has been made in light of the recent/on-going NSW bush-fires and the probability of more wild-fire events through summer. We will advise you when a new date has been re-scheduled.
