24.01.2022 What can you do in 30 seconds? Well in today’s environment you can tweet a message to a Prime Minister, President or your favourite pop-star. You can order a meal online, add a few songs to your spotify playlist, pay your credit card bill, set a tiny goal, find and book your reservation with an airline, restaurant or hotel, take and upload a selfie, change your online status across multiple platforms, and boost your confidence and mood with an affirmation or inspirational quote. In actual fact a lot of things can be done in 30 seconds or less.

23.01.2022 Today I was out shopping. The sales assistant bent over backwards to serve me. I decided to buy the two expensive dresses she had pointed out to me. During the sales transaction I felt the need to let her open up to me... here is what I found out. She is 72 years old.... She has cancer in her leg and on her head. She was robbed by her own son. The store owner gave her a job simply because she would wander in there and talk to her every couple of days. Social security said because she owns a house she does not qualify for more than $30 a fortnight even though she is in major debt (See son comment). She thinks about her son everyday and is hurting more by the loss of him than the loss of her (financial) security. She has to rent out two rooms in her home to strangers to pay her debts. Due to trauma of loosing her mother at the age of 25, she cannot remember her life before this time. She totally endorsed the naturopath a few doors up. I stood and listened and asked a few probing questions. I got a great sense of love and warmth from her. Even though she had some significant blows in her life she is still standing and still focusing on making all parts of her life right. We spoke for about 10minutes and at the end of our conversation she is now a client of mine. Two lessons here: One. It takes but a moment to truly connect with another human. Take the time to do it in every interaction. Two. If in business. Opportunities are everywhere. Clients are constantly looking and your next client could be a 72 year old lady serving you in a hip dress shop! Don’t judge. Just listen!
