20.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our flock to yours! Thank you for supporting the preparations for the 2020 National Poultry Show. We are looking forward to an exciting 2020 and a big year ahead for poultry exhibitors across Australia. by Mingoes Designs

20.01.2022 NO BIRDS IN BOXES AT THE SHOW PLEASE One of the nice things of previous National Poultry Shows, was the ability for exhibitors to bring along birds that they had sold or given to other exhibitors. It was one of those rare occasions when exhibitors from all over Australia gather. Unfortunately it will not be possible to leave birds in carry boxes whilst on the Royal Agricultural Societies grounds. The reason for this is that inspectors for the RSPCA will be there, and if they discover any bird in a box then they will have the power to close the show down. This is a risk that the RAS and the organising committee are not prepared to take. These inspectors will have access to where trailers are parked. The closure of the show would have severe financial implications to RAS. We hope that you appreciate this and understand this decision.

13.01.2022 There have been some questions about delivering exhibits to the pavilion at the National. Exhibitors vehicles will be allowed into the pavilion once their bump in sheets have been given to a steward for the unloading/loading of birds. It is hoped that sufficient stewards can be on hand for the task to handle the number of exhibitors at any time for the bump in over the two days to contain waiting time to a minimal.... Exhibitors are to pen their birds, remove their vehicles to outside the pavilion, dress their birds as quickly as possible and then remove the vehicles from the ground. If more time is required the vehicle should be parked off ground according to SOPA authority. Leg bands are to be ON the birds prior to entry to the pavilion or entry will be denied until they are banded. Stewards cannot afford the time for exhibitors to put leg bands on after arrival. A limited number of trolleys will also be available for assisting the movement of carry boxes from the vehicle to the proximity to the pens if required. Bump out will be run in the same manner. However there will be some waiting time for some exhibitors as the bump out time is not over two days! As is custom with poultry shows a large volume hit the door at the same time. Again the quickness of bump out will depend on the number of stewards able to assist .

01.01.2022 WOW what an achievement!! The College Faverolle Chickens were entered in the National Poultry Show 2016 at Sydney Olympic Park last weekend (10-12 June). 11AG S...tudents washed the chickens and Year 7 Students did the final preparations before they were dropped off to the show. The birds were very successful with "Jay-Z" winning First Rooster Standard Faverolle, Best Male, and Champion Male Faverolle!! His main gal "Beyoncé" didn't let us down, and won the Standard Female Faverolle class. Our eggs also came in 3rd Place. The show is held every 4 years, and was very successful with over 5,000 chickens exhibited from every state in Australia. Well done to all the Agriculture students and Miss Van den Berge on raising such beautiful, happy, healthy birds.
