16.01.2022 Was a big week in the Blue Mountains culminating in the TNF100. The National Trail Running Conference last week gave an opportunity to meet some of the worlds l...eading researchers and experts on well-being and medicine in trail ultras. Also, there were many of Australia's leading race organisers,coaches and elite runners offering insight into how and why they do what they do. Credit to Lucas Trihey and Dr Ursula King for organising the conference. A highlight was meeting Dr Patrick Bassett, Medical Director for UTMB and Dr Marty Hoffman, Research Director for WSER. Working with the first-aid/medical team during the race was a great experience to end the week. See more

Dr Hoffman is the race doctor for Western States Endurance Run and is Chief Medical Officer for the Ultra Medical Team. 10.01.2022 Here's our visiting keynote speaker Dr Marty Hoffman from the USA starting the North Face 100 a few days after the 2015 Conference. Marty finished in good shape in a very respectable 17:26 - congratulations Marty!

02.01.2022 Our keynote speaker has arrived in the Blue Mountains! L-R Alina and Tom from AROC Sport meet Dr Marty Hoffman, fresh off the plane from the USA, with Conference co-convenor Lucas Trihey. This afternoon we'll set up the venue and we all look forward to meeting delegates tomorrow morning at 9:30 to register.

01.01.2022 Winners! The four highly desired Ay-Up RUN KIT prizes were won by delegates Paul Charteris (NZ), Lorraine Lawson (Qld), Ben Nott (ADF/Kapooka) and Marissa Veitch (also of ADF/Kapooka - looks like a lucky place to work!). The beautiful Icebreaker HELIX jackets went to Tim Day (NZ) who we believe will give his to his wife :-) and Neil Hawthorne (NSW) who was proudly wearing his on day 2 of the Conference in the -6 windchill conditions. Congratulations everyone and a HUGE thank you to the Ay-Up guys and Nick Simmonds from Icebreaker!
