24.01.2022 Spring is the perfect time to grab your hawk and hound and take a walk in our beautiful gardens. Late nineteenth-century furniture was often decorated using imagery that reimagined past historical periods. The romance of the medieval world was a great favourite. The Aesthetic movement influenced how people incorporated art into their everyday lives. Furniture, ceramics, textiles and other functional items were transformed into highly decorated and aestheticised objects. This hand-painted panel is featured on an ebonised credenza and is on display at Labassa. Stay tuned for reopening dates.

As advocates, we know that campaigns for heritage protection are often in defence of our locally significant places, and a robust local planning system is the best way to ensure their ongoing protection, celebration, and use into the future.
