22.01.2022 A big thank you to Broome Police and Andy Henshaw for giving this young Mum and her joey a second chance. Found clinging to a brake calliper in the wheel of a c...ar. A few minor burns to Mum's hands and feet will see her recovering with us for a while. Thanks also to the motorist who alerted passing police. Thank you to all at Native Animal Rescue who made this possible

20.01.2022 Hello! I’m a bandicoot and I arrived at Native Animal Rescue in a very poor state. It appeared I may have been kicked by a horse! The first couple of days were tough, however I’ve been slowly improving and I have finally made a full recovery. I am a happy and healthy and ready to face the wild again.

20.01.2022 [GOOD NEWS - RELEASE] Finally after 9 months in our care we say goodbye to our Two Rocks fire zone bobtails. Thanks to all the volunteers who have made this possible Enjoy your freedom and stay safe little ones!

18.01.2022 We are grateful for the person who brought in and admitted this pink and grey galah to us here at Native Animal Rescue. Unfortunately the young galah flew into some power lines and suffered severe electrical burns. After a professional health assessment it was determined that euthanasia was the most humane course of action (due to the severity of its injuries). By admitting the galah to us, the bird was able to have immediate relief of suffering to a terminal injury. ...If left in the wild, it would have suffered greatly for an extended period of time, as sometimes it can take up to four days before a bird succumbs to these kinds of injuries. Please, if you see any injured wildlife, contact your nearest wildlife rehabilitation clinic so that it may be professionally assessed. #nativeanimalrescue #galah #pinkandgrey #cockatoo #wildlifewa #birdlife #australianwildanimals #birdsofaustralia #australiananimals

18.01.2022 It’s officially 2021! Native Animal Rescue would like to wish you all a happy new year!

17.01.2022 As cute as these birds are, we are the not the best to successful raise them to teach them hunting skills and predatory awareness. Please stop jumping in and stealing these babies from their parents. Most species of baby birds will spend a few days on the ground before they can coordinate their wings and be strong enough to fly. ... Please enjoy watching them, but do not remove them from their territory. Thank you

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Native Animal Rescue: Broome for your nomination for the WA Regional Achievement and Community Awards!!

17.01.2022 Peekaboo!! I’ve just popped out to say happy Sunday! I’m staying in bed today where I’m warm and snug

16.01.2022 It’s going to be a hot one today! With the temperature set to reach 34 degrees, please consider providing a safe and reliable source of water for our wildlife. The animals will appreciate it - either to drink or to have a little splash to cool down. Please share this message to spread the word.

08.01.2022 Our friends from WA Bird of Prey Centre dropped in today for a health check on this gorgeous wedge-tailed eagle. Wonderfully, the health check was all clear. The eagle will be travelling up north to finish rehabilitation and to prepare for release. This bird can inflict serious injury and permanent damage if not restrained in the correct manner. Mike from WA Bird of Prey Centre has the expertise to handle and hold the bird while examination takes place. #wedgetailedeagle #eagles #birdsofprey #nativeanimalrescue #wabirdsofprey #wildliferescue #perth

08.01.2022 SQUAWK! Happy Father's Day! Wishing all the dads a enjoyable day with the family!

08.01.2022 Hello! I’m a beautiful boobook that came into care at Native Animal Rescue with an eye ulcer. Thankfully, the ulcer is resolved and I’m looking forward to a couple more days of rest and relaxation before my release.

07.01.2022 I’ve come to visit Native Animal Rescue to see Dr Karin for a health check. My foster dad Brian from Marsupial Mammas and Pappas Wildlife Care has a few concerns about me. I’m failing to thrive and not at the same stage as other joeys my age. I know I’m in safe hands here at Native Animal Rescue and with Marsupial Mammas and Pappas Wildlife Care. Wish me luck with my health check! #wildlifewa #wildlife #australiannativeanimals #australia #perth #animals #animalrescue #nativeanimalrescue #perthnow #marsupials

06.01.2022 Over the last few weeks we have been receiving calls about baby turtles (like this tiny Southwestern Snake-necked Turtle) being found in parks and suburbs. These young turtles are making their way to the nearest waterbody, so if you find them in harms way, please help them by taking them to the nearest lake. Gently place them in shallow water in an area where there is a little bit of protection for them (such as reeds, grasses or shrubs).

06.01.2022 Containers for Change begins today and you could help Native Animal Rescue with every eligible drink container you return. Our wildlife appreciate all the support they can get. To learn more about Containers for Change, go to: www.containersforchange.com.au/wa/... Please help us spread this message by sharing this post
