13.01.2022 GOOD MORNING It’s a bit cool this morning here in Launceston, just warmed up a bit with a bowl of porridge & a coffee in this nice mug...do you match your cup to your type of beverage? I can’t seem to bring myself to drink a cup of tea out of a big mug, I prefer a small tea cup...when I’m out on a bush walk though, anything goes, tea, coffee, wine, all goes in the same light weight camping cup, & it all tastes soooooo good (plastic and all) when you’re out away from mode...rn conveniences huh!!! 02.01.2022 STAYING AT HOME... never looked so good!!! Who doesn’t love a cosy space with your favourite drink & soft, comforting furnishings?! Maybe someone who lives in 40+ degree heat but let’s pretend we’re all visiting a cool climate retreat & it’s snowing & you’ve had enough of the cold weather for the day & you’ve come inside to warm up by the fire to read a book amongst the cushions with your beverage of choice &....you get the picture Well for this reason, I’m enjoying... the little cosy nooks I’ve created around my place, each with a different candle scent to evoke a different feeling & set a mood for that area When I want to focus & get work etc done I burn invigorating scents & have the space (mostly this is my desk) nice and organised with everything I need right there for me to grab when I need it. I also drink caffeinated herbal teas & coffee at that time, usually before 2pm! When I want to do some less structured stuff, I move into the reading/writing zone & burn a combination with some calming effects. Then when I want to wind down for the evening or a Sunday arvo, I get comfy in the relax/nap/chill zone, you know the place in your house where it’s got the good cushions with soft fabrics & cosy & warm throws or blankets etc!!! I’ll burn the usual suspects to encourage relaxation and possible, ‘I-could-nod-off-any-moment’ type scenarios!!! 02.01.2022 KEEPIN IT REAL... I’m just so grateful for the orders that have been coming in from you all, my incredible supporters, THANK YOU!!! As the first Month of Winter is coming to an end, a lot of us are back at our day jobs, joining the hard workers who never got to stop working! There are also a lot of us feeling the pressure of life & the changes Covid-19 has brought to our new schedules. For me personally, well I’m just not used to working over full time hours all of... a sudden, so I’ve been getting exhausted physically & mentally I’ve just been forced to rest & recover for a couple of days with a small injury (nothing serious, just frustrating) But now, I’m so happy at how good I feel after some time to slow down! I’m feeling energised & ready to get back to my jobs, feeling like I can look after my self nutritionally & not just grabbing takeaway/cafe/restaurant food most days/nights! So, with all this in mind, I’ve made a couple of positive changes in my daily/weekly routine & I’m looking forward to seeing & feeling the benefits of these stress relieving changes I’ll try to remember to share some with you guys So, back to the candles... I would like to have done an end of financial year sale but I have no stock to sell on the website at the moment With finding things a little bit hard to juggle with a full schedule of work, I’m temporarily going to extend the break from special & custom orders while I fill a couple of Wholesale jobs & enjoy a day off now & then too!!!
