19.01.2022 The Bush Cafe will be changing their hours over winter. They will now be closed Tuesday and Wednesday

18.01.2022 Eucalyptus is recognized as one of Earths earliest herbal healers. Eucalyptus is a sacred native of Australia and is used in the same way the white sage is used. It is purifying, cleansing and assists in bringing good health. Smudging with Eucalyptus is beneficial for cleansing and energising your environment and energy body. It encourages emotional balance, and is regarded as a stimulant and removes fatigue and mental sluggishness. It is also believed to strengthen concentr...ation, stimulate blood flow and can encourage visions as it awakens the spirit. We have some beautiful handmade eucalyptus smudge sticks in the shop. They are truly beautiful * * * #australiannativeplants #australia #naturelovers #plantlife #conservation #flowers #horticulture #southernhighlands #robertson #nativegardens #nativegracenursery #traditionalhealing #aussienatives #sustainablenativeplants #australianflora #smudgesticks #ilovensw #eucalyptus

11.01.2022 Today is World Bee Day! World Bee Day celebrates our hard-working little pollinators! And look at this little bee go! Absolutely covered in pollen! Can you believe that there are over 20,000 species of bee that exist globally and Australia is home to around 2,000 species of native bee. Native bees have co-evolved with our unique native flora over thousands of years. And many of our native plants can only be pollinated by a particular species of bee. In the absence of poll...ination, the plant species cannot reproduce so if that bee species dies, so too will the plant. Without bees, biodiversity is at risk. Without bees, our food security is at risk. Without bees, ecosystems are at risk. We can all play a role in making a difference. Visit www.worldbeeday.org.au and see what you can do in your area. * * * * * #worldbeeday #australiannativeplants #australia #naturelovers #conservation #flowers #botany #horticulture #southernhighlands #nativegardens #nativegracenursery #plantsforbees #gardeningaustralia #australiannativebees #nativebees #pollen #bluebandedbees #aussiebees #australianfauna #australianflora #ilovensw

10.01.2022 Daises would have to be the happiest flowers. We've been watching these Paper Daisies - Bracteantha ‘Mohave White’ play peek-a-boo for the last few days. We have had so much rain here in Robertson, and today one beautiful Daisy decided to shine Enjoying a very long flowering season, this compact plant is well suited to pots and garden beds. Ours are on display as you walk into the nursery. We have repurposed an old wheelbarrow, and they have made themselves quite at home i...n it. Once established they are heat and drought tolerant and will tolerate light frosts. These do especially well in garden bed rockeries, and are fabulous in hanging baskets as they enjoy full sun, so you can move them around as needed. * * * * * #australiannativeplants #landscape #landscapedesign #australia #naturelovers #plantlife #conservation #flowers #botany #gardenoftheday #horticulture #southernhighlands #robertson #nativegardens #nativegracenursery #plantsforbees #plantsforbirds #abcmyphoto #gardeningaustralia #floweringshrubs #nativeflowers #homeandgarden #homebeautiful #paperdaisy

09.01.2022 We all start small. We all bloom when we’re ready and this Dicksonia Antarctica is no different. This tight and intricate palm bud will one day very soon be a glorious fern frond. It’s job will be to protect the vulnerable new growth on the rainforest floor and to provide shelter for fauna. Tree ferns are wonderfully evocative plants to use to create a rainforest feel in the garden particularly the soft tree fern Dicksonia Antarctica. This species are common through the mois...ter forests of southeastern Australia including Tasmania, a fact that attests to their adaptability to a wide range of soil and climatic conditions. If you want an instant rainforest feel to your garden then consider a native tree fern. You can create your own rainforest in your very own backyard * * * #australiannativeplants #landscape #landscapedesign #australia #naturelovers #plantlife #conservation #flowers #botany #gardenoftheday #horticulture #southernhighlands #robertson #nativegardens #nativegracenursery #plantsforbees #plantsforbirds #abcmyphoto #gardeningaustralia #fernfrond #nativeflowers #homeandgarden #homebeautiful #rainforest #ferngully #protecttherainforest #treefern #climateaction #plantphotography

08.01.2022 June 5th is World Environment Day, a day that the whole world recognises that we need to make a change. Sadly we cannot turn back time. But we can make small steps now that will have a big impact later. Things like; grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets and clean up rivers and coasts. We're very passionate about revegetation at Native Grace. Planting natives in your garden can make such a huge difference. They will attract native birds to your g...arden, native bees, create habitat for smaller birds and use less water than exotic plants. * REIMAGINE. RECREATE. 08.01.2022 This magnificent Acacia melanoxylon is standing triumphant in its environment. It would have to be at least 150 years old and deserves to be the feature of it's surroundings. 07.01.2022 Winter has officially arrived Australian winters are never drab, it is cold but beautiful, and now begins the wonderful season of cosy fires, lots of layers, delicious comfort food and long walks where you can see your own breath. It's also a great time to be in the garden, with Golden wattles, native fuchsias (Correa) and Banksias followed by starry Crowea, boronia and Geraldton wax all beginning to flower * *... About the picture - This Scleranthus 'Lime Lava' is looking fabulous in this garden bed at Burrawang. Although it doesn't particularly like heavy frosts, when planted with complimentary plants such as this Lomandra tanika, they will do quite well and make a great feature to your garden. * * * * * #australiannativeplants #australia #naturelovers #plantlife #conservation #flowers #horticulture #southernhighlands #robertson #nativegardens #burrawang #nativegracenursery #plantsforbirds #abcmyphoto #aussienatives #sustainablenativeplants #australianflora #gardenlovers #birdsofaustralia #ilovensw

05.01.2022 Blue Banded Bees are amongst our most beautiful Australian native bees. They are about 11 mm long and have bands of metallic blue fur across their black abdomens. Blue Banded Bees are very special indeed! They perform a type of pollination called 'buzz pollination'. Some flowers aren't very forthcoming in giving up their pollen, so they hide it in tiny capsules. So when a Blue Banded Bee comes across a flower of this nature, they grasp the flower and shiver their flight musc...les. This will then cause the pollen to shoot out of the capsule. The bee can then collect the pollen for its nest and cary it from flower to flower, pollinating as she buzzes about her business. Many of our Australian native flowers require buzz pollination, so the Blue Banded Bee truly is an Australian gem.... I'm going to call it, an Australian icon! This buzzing bee is happily foraging away For more information about native bees visit @australiannativebees

04.01.2022 We are very excited to now be a stockist of @wethewildofficial - Plant food for plant people. This range consists of three products which replicate the biodiversity of the forest floor to make your houseplants strong, fast growing and resilient. Each product is full of the plant-loving bacteria, enzymes and nutrients that are safe and healthy for your plants. 02.01.2022 Today is six months since Native Grace opened our gates for the first time. It has been a privilege to follow in the footsteps of The Robertson Nursery, and bring life once again to this beautiful pocket of land in Robertson. Thank you for all of the friendly smiles we see daily. We’re very grateful for all of the new friendships we have made Our vision is to show everyone the beauty and Grace of native plants, and we believe we’re achieving that vision. We love all the ...photos from customers of the plants' new homes in their gardens. We get excited talking to people about the plant wins, and love inspiring people to plant natives. But now I have to take my business hat off, and put my married cap on; to Luke, the heart and soul of Native Grace - well done! Luke hasn’t had a day off since Christmas Day. He has put everything into this business, and I’m so incredibly proud of him. I’m blown away daily by his knowledge of plants, his creativity, his designs and his work ethic. Native Grace wouldn’t be where it is today without you. Congratulations Luke, you are a good, honest man who always sees the best in people, you can ride the highs and lows and come out with your head held high. You should be very proud of yourself, we are! See more
