23.01.2022 Our nursery grows many Butterfly & Moth attracting plants. Food Plants for Caterpillars and Shelter for Eggs Trees and Shrubs: Eucalyptus & Wattles (Acacia sp.) Grasses: Spiny-head Mat-rush (Lomandra longifolia), Tussock-grass (Poa sp. including ensiformis, morrisii, labillardieri) and Sedges like Gahnia sieberiana and (Carex sp. including appressa, fascicularis, gaudichaudiana)... Nectar Producing Flowers Ground Covers: Purple Coral Pea (Hardenbergia violacea), Running Postman (Kennedia prostrata) and Native Violet (Viola hederacea) Wildflowers: Yellow Buttons & Button Everlasting (Chrysocephalum & Coronidium sp.) Rice Flowers (Pimelea sp.) Trigger Plants (Stylidium sp.), Chocolate & Bulbine Lily’s (Arthropodium & Bulbine sp.) Here are a few Butterflies & Moths we have seen around the nursery in the past few months.

23.01.2022 Busy time of year. In the middle of seed collection. Here is a snapshot of today's haul. Common Tussock-grass (Poa labillardieri), Purple Coral Pea (Hardenbergia violacea), Small-flowered Wallaby-grass (Rytidosperma setaceum), Small-leaved Clematis (Clematis microphylla), Murnong Yam Daisy (Microseris lanceolata) & Kangaroo Grass (Themeda triandra).

16.01.2022 Triglochin procera (Water Ribbons) coming along nicely. Will be heading to a new wetland soon.
