24.01.2022 Endometriosis - is something a lot of women suffer from and it seems as though there is not much information out there on what can be done naturally. Please know that you are not alone and lots of ladies are affected. There is so much that can be done naturally to help relieve your symptoms. First of all there are some pretty amazing herbs to reduce those nasty side effects such as heavy periods, spotting and cycle irregularities. Diet play a huge role too and you can do a l...ot there to feel better just by making a few simple changes. Here are a few facts: Endometriosis is affected by estrogen - the liver is our most important organ for hormone detoxification Endometriosis is also seen as an auto-immune disorder as the body identifies the excess tissue as a foreign bodyThe celiacs gene is associated with Endometriosis- food intolerance testing can be useful to remove immune triggers. Finding the right solution for you can be so empowering. Book in your free 15minute session. Link in bio. See more

23.01.2022 Sharing Roshelles story today about food allergies: @healthwithroshelle Ive suffered with allergies and intolerances since I was in high school. Its a nasty experience especially if you cant get to the bottom of it. Theres some pretty awful symptoms, removal of foods and restrictive diets, which can be super overwhelming. Coming into the colder months I see clients reacting to particular foods, one of those being oats. Do you have a food or specific foods you avoid bec...ause they dont make you feel great? Are you removing one food and then another to see how you feel? You dont have to do it alone, I can help. Having gone through all the testing myself I can look at your symptom and diet history to start piecing together what you may be reacting too. All the while focusing on supporting your gut and inflammation to improve your symptoms. I love functional testing for this reason, it takes the guess work out of knowing what is going on. If you need support with your diet and potential allergies and intolerances please reach out. I would love to support you through your journey. #teneriffe #brisbane #fortitudevalley #brisbanenutritionist #brisbanenutrition #onlinenutritionist #skypenutritionist #zoomnutritionist #nutritionistau #nutritionistaustralia #australiannutritionist #holisticnutritionist #certifiednutritionist #brisbaneholistichealth #brisbanewellness #brisbanewellnesspractitioner #brisbaneguthealth #healyourgut #brisbanefunctionaltesting #brisbanehealth #brisbaneholisticliving See more

22.01.2022 Our resident Naturopath Shannon is sharing her sons gluten Intolerance story: This was an insanely hard and frustrating time for our household. I feel that by sharing this i can help so many others too. As a Naturopath and a mum I dont always get it right. In fact I failed this little tiger miserably. I was tired, frustrated, struggling immensely with work, family life, Matts long work hours and feeling alone and scared of this kid Jack was biting, hitting, lashing ou...t, angry and aggressive. We almost got kicked out of daycare because he would bite others. I was so frustrated and questioning everything! Trust me. It was horrible. I turned into a mother im not proud of! I failed. I screamed at him! He was holding his poo all of a sudden and wouldnt poop for weeks despite it literally being liquid in his guts. I dosed him up on every laxative and suppository I could. He still wouldnt go. I took him to the OT, he was scared. I had created a stressful environment around it as we were housebound. Because he was in SO much pain and so full of poop. He even pooped himself infront of a client at Bunnings. Long story short poo withholding was just a sign he was in pain and had anxiety about the whole loo thing. So, I took my angry, psycho, exhausted mum hat off and put my own brain to use (cant always treat yourself remember) I got him tested, his poo tested and it turns out he is extremely intolerant to gluten! He had so many inflammatory markers, and bowel bacteria completely out of balance. But finally I had an idea what to do. Change his diet, changed his probiotics. Took him off laxatives and got him off GLUTEN. Finally...this boy here was free.... he is free of pain, hes free of anger and aggression, he sleeps, he absorbs his nutrients. He is incredible and we healed as a family. The reason why I am sharing this is, I see so many clients in similar situations. Its so hard! Seek help, there is another answer, there is a reason! And yes, I failed initially but when I believed in my abilities again I healed him! Hes my boy and I helped him through something with my knowledge! Im bloody proud...Gut health and intolerances present in so many ways!!! See more

22.01.2022 Do you suffer from bloating, unexplainable tummy pains or feel like your bowel habits have changed? When things dont feel right in your tummy it means that it needs some TLC. The right diet and a thorough gut check can make all the difference. If you want to get yours tested book in for our gut health package. Booking link in bio.

18.01.2022 Today I made Gelatin immune gummies for us at home. It was really fun and Matt even ate them . It’s super simple: All you need is: 5 Tbsp Gelatine ( Greater lakes or Davis Gelatine from Coles)Juice of one lemon and one orange 2 Tbsp of Manuka honey 10ml Ginger juice 10mls Turmeric juice Boil 1cup of water and dissolve the gelatin, allow to grow thick, then add the other ingredients slowly. I added Vitamin C powder, Repairase and Probiotics to ours today to boost the immune system. Let it set in rubber ice cube trays to be able to remove the gummies easily later. Otherwise you can set it in a bakingtray and cut them into cubes. Enjoy!

17.01.2022 A round-of-applause for turmeric. Many of you may already know that turmeric packs a serious punch and heres a little refresher: The main active component in turmeric is curcumin which exhibits over 150 potentially therapeutic effects including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. It also promotes good digestive health and regulate metabolism. Get your day off to a good start with this recipe for golden milk with a batch of home mad...e turmeric paste. Turmeric Paste (makes 2 cups) 2 heaped teaspoons fresh grated turmeric 1 heaped teaspoon fresh grated ginger 1/2 tsp cinnamon Pinch black pepper 1 cup coconut milk (or any milk you love) 2 cups boiling water 2 tbs gelatine (nutrient powder) Add ginger, turmeric, pepper, cinnamon and honey to a pot and add the boiling wate. Allow to steep for about 5 min. Add remaining ingredients & bring to the boil while whisking (or using a stick mixer) to make it creamy and frothy. Once hot enough, strain into your mugs using a tea strainer and voila! Lovely image via @myblisskitchn See more

17.01.2022 Did you enjoy the Christmas festivities? After 3 days of eating its time for a detox at our house. Im craving cucumber water and green smoothies! My little secret after one too many wines at Christmas are homemade Coconut water and lemon juice frozen popsicles. They are a life saver and super hydrating. All you need is: 20ml juice, 100 coconut water, some crushed mint leaves and paper cups+popsicle stick to freeze them in.

17.01.2022 Food intolerances - its a bit of a chicken and egg (no pun intended... ) scenario. Usually the gut has been pretty unwell, bloated and sore for a while and all of the sudden all foods seem to react in one way or another. It almost seems like every time you eat it sets things off. This is where it is really important to find out what your trigger is. Food allergy tests can give you answers as to which foods your body reacts to and another good idea is a stool test to check for infections, low nutrient absorption and your levels of good bacteria. Roshelle Colegrove is a microbiome expert at our clinic and can identify triggers for IBS. What would you like to know about food sensitivities and gut health? Comment below
