21.01.2022 This is a personal update to clients on the evolving COVID-19 situation and the precautions that I am taking in the Salon. Because of the nature of my business, hygiene standards are something I enforce everyday but since the outbreak of COVID-19 I have implemented some additional standards. Ensuring hand sanitizers are available to all clients upon entering and leaving the Salon.... Ensuring all surfaces, door handles, seating, counters and bathroom are throughly sanitized after each client. (Please do not take offense to this practice) Requesting that unwell clients or clients who have recently travelled overseas or interstate or who have had contact with a possible infected person, cancel/re-book their appointment for a later date. Group bookings will no longer be available at this stage (clients that have bookings already will be notified) and the spa will also not be available for use. Unfortunately I have had to make the decision to work solo for the time being with only one client in the salon at any given time. Clients will be notified of this change to make alternative appointment times. For this reason I will not be taking on any new clientele unless they are medical referrals. If you require products please phone before hand to make arrangements for collection. I am closely following all advice from local medical practitioners and the Department of Health to manage this situation and will continue to update any new information. We will all be affected by this pandemic in some way so please look after yourself and those around you during this time of uncertainty Jodie Hartley

20.01.2022 We'll I've finally made the decision to down size and reduce my work load (only a little bit ) For these reasons I will be closing the Salon on Friday 26th June and re-locating to work from home (Bagot St Wallaroo) The down sides are : the spa will no longer be available nor will group bookings All other services and packages will still be available along with gift vouchers and EO products. I will upload changes to the website in June.... The up sides are : the friendly relaxing and comfortable atmosphere remains the same, I will also have a few more evening and Sunday appointments available and the best part, I get a bit more me time to travel See more

15.01.2022 Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund As a small business owner it's nice to be recognized for our fundraising efforts into such a worthwhile cause. The last couple of months I've had the pleasure of being able to work closely with a very lovely lady, Ketrah Parsonage from the RAH Research Fund.... Last year we raised $2,711 which we donated into Rare Cancer research. Rare cancers make up 25% of cancers in total, yet 40% of deaths. As cancer does not discriminate, most of us have witnessed this disease impacting the health of our loved ones and our community. This year we will be fundraising again. We will be donating $1.00 from every service that is booked and clients are more than welcome to match our $1.00. We also have a new furry staff member, Scrubs he's available to order for $35.00 and comes with an official certificate of adoption. Karen from Kirby's Creations has offered to print a personal monogram for an extra $5.00 (lay by's welcome) Drake's Supermarkets have also jumped on board with Community Dollar key tags donating 1cent from every $2.00 spent. Our own Wallaroo Foodland happens to be the store that raises the most money out of all the stores in South Australia. These FREE tags are available from the salon. We have a 5 cent collection tin going as well, so if you, a club or school would like to get involved send me a pm and I'll be in-touch with the details. Our $5.00 Lucky Squares are running again with the chance to WIN :Diffuser & Essential Oil Packs : Spa, massage, facial & pedicure Packages. : Cash Prizes and so much more throughout the year. While State and Federal Government funding provides essential health services and some research funding it cannot pay for everything. 07.01.2022 Sometimes when one door closes it makes way for an opportunity to open a new door to a more relaxing, slower paced working environment. Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation my plans to close the salon in June and relocate from home have come around sooner than expected. So here is a little peek at what I've been up to with some extra time on my hands over the last month. The new treatment room and waiting area, with a more personal and calming atmosphere ... Unfortunately with restrictions still in place for most services I am still only permitted to treat those clients with medical conditions. Vouchers and Essential oil products etc are still available for purchase and pick up. The support that I have received from clients during this time has been amazing and I can't wait to catch up with you all, hopefully sooner than expected.
