25.01.2022 100% truth. You cant deny it. https://youtu.be/BfdvbZFXbNA

24.01.2022 Something Ive preached from the beginning with online coaching. Motivation fluctuates immensely. Using it as the only fuel for pursuing goals will result in failure. Its doing what is required when youre not motivated that leads to success.

24.01.2022 Gym closed. Outdoor gym and play equipment prohibited. All online and retail fitness stores completely sold out. Raining outside. Manage to scrap up a bench, adjustable dumbbells, a skinny little barbell, slam ball, only 25kg worth of weight, couple of gym mats and a old band. All nicely positioned in a tiny little garage haha. No drama! First workout with social distancing restrictions complete! Make the most of what you have! In time of uncertainty many people also cannot a...fford to spend a heap of money on gym equipment. There are many things you can use as weights. Buckets, suitcase, water bottles, canned food etc. Eli even joined in with me including stretches! Got a gym partner again! Heres the routine if you want something to do. Theres so much you innovate with if you take the time to research. Im still limited with bad knee and shoulder, but I aint gonna quit! Walking lunges 2 x 15 (each leg) Weighted lunges 3 x 12 (each leg) Front squats 3 x 15 Stiff legged deadlift 2 x 15 Hip thrust with band 2 x 15 Crab walk 24 x steps Weighted one legged calve raise 3 x 12 (each leg) Ball slams 1 x 15 Plank 1 x failure Enjoy!

24.01.2022 Since everyone is doing the 10 year challenge...

22.01.2022 REPOST! Its been a year and half since pituitary surgery!! The first photo was taken just as I got the tumour (but didnt know) I only took it to ask my hubby which colour bikini to buy orange or purple.... The second photo was the awful night before surgery with all its anxiety and standing for photos to look back on in hopes surgery works Then the third is just the other day, I took that photo because its the first time I put a bikini on, in five and a bit years. Im n...ot fit at all due to still having fatigue my cortisol last week came in at 190. Still a bit low, In Australia a safe range is 100-500. My cortisol was 790 consistently with cushings. Anyway Im really happy with where Im at and I realise Im one of the lucky ones that got to have surgery and it worked as well The withdrawals after surgery are like nothing else and my body, Ive just been told, is still not responding as it should. I cant handle any stress. Recovery has been long...But all worth it for dreaded Cushings to leave my body. Big thanks to all our supporters and Dean for figuring it out! Xxx Dani

21.01.2022 Cant ruin the perfect canvas.

20.01.2022 Reality of the fitness industry...

19.01.2022 After training twice a week for the last 18 months I’ve stepped it up to 4 days last few weeks. Workouts are shorter with an in out and mentality. Due to injuries I keep weight relatively low on most things and have higher reps to reach good volume. First week near killed me but now body is starting to adapt and the extra frequency feels like it’s bringing up some old muscle memory in the shoulders and legs. At 35 I’m not interested in having low body fat like back in the day..., but rather maintain a healthy body fat percentage to support muscle growth and recovery. Plus I’m not going to lie, I love to eat lol. It’s been a very long time since taking shameless selfies but nothing lighting, filters and editing can’t fix . Hope you are all driven to finish out this challenging year strong. Start creating healthy habits and a growth mindset now leading into 2021. See more

13.01.2022 Tamara Borghardt Every so often a client comes along that inspires me before they’ve even begun any coaching. Tamara was one of those clients. I first met Tamara in my early days of PT work. 7 years has passed since then and what has transpired in her life since was a lot to deal with. The loss of her Mum, Nanny and Great Grandma over 4 years and only 2 years between her Nana and Mum within that time. So much personal tragedy to deal with whilst at the same time raising 2 bea...utiful children alongside her husband. Not only that, but she had also started up and was running her own real estate business too! Despite all this on her plate, Tamara still contacted me wanting to make a positive change with her health and fitness. Coping with trauma can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms. I was blown away she was still functioning and to even have the desire to improve eating habits and training was enough for me to be inspired. I knew she would succeed. In those 7 years my approach and understanding has changed a lot and the flexibility of still eating the foods we love in moderation allows long term sustainability. This was evident for Tamara as she loved the new approach compared to the early days. Then Covid 19 hit half way through the 12 weeks! Gym shut down and so much uncertainty with every aspect in everyone’s lives. But Tamara still kept going. She really doesn’t give herself enough credit. I couldn’t be prouder and her desire to make better choices helped me to see the continued the resilience people can have in face of adversity. Just over 7kg loss and huge cm reductions all over the body. I’m very excited where she can go from here as we can always improve areas like consistency her training etc Here’s what she had to say: So I’ll be the first to admit that I could have achieved so much more if I had bothered to exercise in the 12 week challenge that I have just completed.....however.... look how far I came with just improving my diet! It really goes to show that diet is key!! Thanks to Dean from Natural Advancement Health and Fitness for helping me with a sustainable plan where I could still have my iced latte and dark chocolate every single day! I have really struggled with my relationship with food due to the stress of the past few years with losing our 3 queens of our family and really needed someone to help me get my sh#t together and change my mindset. Dean has helped me with this and I am so friggen grateful. Thanks so much Dean and sorry I let you down by being too lazy to do the exercise part of my plan. Kicking myself now. Slow and steady wins the race..... Give Tamara a LIKE for being a Boss!

10.01.2022 And my mind is a state.....

10.01.2022 Its only taken 33 years to look at failure differently and its still struggle at times. At some point in your life you have to take risks for rewards. Its mustering up the courage to do so. If doesnt work out, try a different approach rather than give up. Surrounding yourself with the right people is also paramount to succeed.

07.01.2022 Cant think of more profound statement that would help ourselves and others.

06.01.2022 Valuable lesson. Stay balanced.

06.01.2022 Very powerful and insanely accurate.

06.01.2022 Current shape after pump and favourable lighting. Last 18 months Ive been training just twice a week. Whilst the frequency is minimal it has been consistent. Due to ongoing shoulder and knee injuries, I find this allows adequate recovery and doesnt flare up any overuse inflammation. Its also the most practical around my work and family life. I still track my volume meticulously and try to increase it even a little bit each session whether its a weight increase, extra rep ...or set. I always make sure I never lift any less which is currently around 45-50 tonne a week. Diet Im currently eating very well during the days of my working week. I also like to snack a lot in the late arvo and love my ice cream and chocolate. Weekends are pretty much whatever to enjoy it. Some times thats eating a lot, others I may fast for half a day. It feels balanced and never restricted. This current regime is some what maintenance and wont have me really progressing with growth or real low body fat etc, but it is highly sustainable and allows me to maintain some type of strength and manage injuries for everyday life. The overall message though is stay consistent and find something that is sustainable for you. The formula is simple dont complicate it with fad trends. Your overall calories and macronutrients are subject to your goals. Eat plenty of whole foods, drink plenty of water, be consistent with training (even when you dont feel like it) and adequate physical and mental rest. Tomorrow is a new day, go get it!

06.01.2022 The dream workout partner! Watch this from start to finish. You wont be disappointed. Learnt so much from this but also could relate to things as well, like what he finds inspiring in the gym. #motivation https://youtu.be/na7RfQ5NBC8

01.01.2022 RIP gains for every gym goer out there. How I miss my old studio now. That many injuries to contend with also with any type of alternative. What practical steps will you take to cope with gym and sport closures? Body weight? Home gym? Park gyms? Couch? Lol
