23.01.2022 Hi Guys WINTER IS fast approaching. Here are some simple steps to BOOST your IMMUNE system this WINTER:... *Increase consumption of GREEN TEA, excellent source of ANTIOXIDANTS *SLEEP is so under valued but it soo important *Getting at least 7-8 hours per night helps to regenerate your Immune system. Studies show that people who don't get quality sleep or enough sleep are more likely to get sick after being exposed to a virus, such as a common cold virus. *Ensuring Vitamin D levels are over 100 (check your blood test results for this). If they are under, a good quality Vitamin D liquid oil will help to boost your levels. *Incorporate a concentrated Zinc and Vitamin C supplement to boost immune system but also support Moods, Skin, Nails , Hair, Gut function. Did you know at the very start of feeling unwell e.g. scratchy throat , feeling tired and run down its best to support the immune system with a beautiful herb called ANDROGRAPHIS, which helps to resolve any early stages of infection, reduce the symptoms and duration of colds and stimulate the body's natural immune responses. If you have been dealing with a cold for a few days even a week, its best to take ASTRAGALUS as this will help to fight off fatigue and weakness, provide relief of upper respiratory tract infections, inc. mucous congestion, supporting the overall immune system. If you have any questions, please email us on [email protected] or give us a call on 0433173361. Marissa xo

20.01.2022 This is something that I have used in many herbal tonic concoctions. Such a beautiful herb to use with soo many benefits. Studies have confirmed that pomegranate peel is effective against a range of pathogens that infect the human gut, including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella pneumonia, Candida albicans and Giardia lamblia. Importantly, pomegranate peel does not harm beneficial gut bacteria, and actually stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species.

18.01.2022 F U N F A C T W E D N E S D A Y The beneficial effects of multi-strain probiotic therapy has shown significant benefits in children in reducing the severity of the common cold, with less sick days absent from day care.1 A total of 131 children aged 1-6 years attending day care were administered either Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus paracasei or placebo daily for three months during the common cold season. ... Daily consumption of probiotics resulted in a statistically significant reduction in the severity of cold symptoms, particularly nasal congestion/runny nose, and required less concomitant medications. PROBIOTICS are an effective treatment option, improving immune health in children. Some common fermented foods that naturally contain probiotics, or have probiotics added to them, include yoghurt, kefir, kombucha, sauerkraut, pickles, miso, tempeh, kimchi, sourdough bread. 1 Ahren I, Berggren A, Teixeira C, Niskanen T, Larsson N. Evaluation of the efficacy of Lactobacillus plantarum HEAL9 and Lactobacillus paracasei 8700:2 on aspects of common cold infections in children attending day care: a randomised, doubleblind, placebocontrolled clinical study. 06.01.2022 New Year Resolutions for 2020! It seems there can be an endless list at times. However, these 3 will definitely be my priority for a Happier and HEALTHIER 2020. Less SCREEN time, more GREEN time! Many studies suggest that less time in front of screen and more exposure to natural environments (e.g. parks and beaches) is linked with better health and wellbeing.... Spending too much time in front of screen (i.e. laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc) is associated with a variety of health harms including obesity, depressive symptoms and poor quality of life. Less screen time was found to be far better for overall mental and physical health. Eating more fruits and vegetables improves physiological and psychological health. A variety of Phytonutrients, Vitamins and Minerals can be found when eating different coloured vegetables and fruit, commonly known as the Rainbow diet (e.g. orange/beta-carotene, green/chlorophyll). Simply put more variety in colour in vegetables and fruit, more variety o nutrients, better health and wellness. Finally, make sleep a priority in 2020! Studies have shown that lack of sleep and poor quality sleep are both associated with increased risk of diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, depression, and osteoporosis. High quality sleep for at least 7 hours per night improves happiness, positive feelings, vitality, energy, and life satisfaction. Unfortunately, the opposite proves true, mood and mental wellbeing will be negatively affected due to lack of sleep. What are your New Year Resolutions?

05.01.2022 It really is true.. Time and time again... We Are What We EAT!!!
