05.01.2022 Hi All, Many of you may already know what Reiki is but for those of you who don't here's a brief explanation: What is Reiki?... Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) comes from the Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy, with the belief that life force energy emits from every living thing and can be harnessed as a natural healing source to in turn benefit all living things. Reiki’s beginnings were first developed in the late 19th century by Dr Mikao Usui and progressed into the early 20th century. To distinguish this method of healing from other Reiki, it was named Usui Reiki Ryoho and is still being passed on from teacher/master to student/practitioner to this day. It is a non invasive form of powerful healing and is increasingly being accepted not only in mainstream healthcare facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes, but also alongside modern medicine as a complimentary therapy. Reiki is not a religion but a belief system that promotes living in harmony with nature and one another, to create peace and harmony across all cultures and the universe.
