25.01.2022 Thank you to Libby and the team at Natural Grace for their tireless work helping communities in need.

24.01.2022 Human composting, the final product. Another gift for the earth. We are so pleased to be offering a session with Recompose in just a few weeks!

24.01.2022 Our next NDAN special event is June 5th - and we are particularly proud to announce that we have Morgan Yarborough (she/they) of Recompose to speak with us! Recompose is the first human composting initiative in the world, currently operating in Washington state USA, with Colorado working towards being the second state to offer this rapid, effective, urban body disposition solution. Environmentally-friendly, small footprint, and sustainable, human composting is exciting a goo...d deal of interest internationally. Morgan is the Services Manager for Recompose and develops and leads ceremonies, arrangements, and at-need death care at Recompose with eyes for expanding this service model to future locations. She has been exploring death care since 2016 and is a licensed funeral director in both Washington and Oregon. Her goal is to support people in choosing meaningful, empowering options when it comes to death care, and believes that compassion, education, and understanding are paramount in accomplishing this goal. Prior to joining Recompose, Morgan led community events focused on death education and what it means to be mortal through her Oregon-based group, Our Own Hands. Morgan is a devoted animal lover and spends time keeping up with several rescue animals, as well as creating pen and ink illustrations, avidly collecting books, learning about all that this world offers, and gardening whenever possible. N.B.: As Morgan is on the west coast of the USA and the time difference is a bit challenging, our event time is Saturday June 5th at 9am AEST, with Morgan speaking to us on Friday 4pm Pacific time. We thank you for your understanding that on this occasion our usual Friday evening timeslot was not possible. Hurry and book your tickets fast - places are limited. As always, NDAN members pay a discounted price, and have exclusive access to the members only QandA with Morgan afterwards. The QandA won't be recorded. 23.01.2022 Greetings! As you may be aware, the 2020 NDAN AGM was held recently and a new committee installed. Your new committee is as follows:... President - Rebecca Lyons, Vice President - Nicole Stephens, Treasurer - Dr Annetta Mallon, Secretary - Rose Sexton, General Committee Members - Dee Brinsmead, Sandra Jason, Christine Pedley and Jacqui Williams. Information about your new committee can be found here - https://ndan.com.au/committee I am pleased and honoured to be your incoming President of NDAN. We have a fantastic new committee made up of people who have generously raised their hands to become part of our leadership team; there is an exceptional amount of skill, a superb range of experience and a wealth of wisdom in this new committee and we are all keen to embrace this opportunity to continue the work of NDAN. None of this would be possible without the dedication, drive and hard work of the long serving outgoing committee members, Pia Interlandi, Libby Moloney, Courtney Hempton and Helen Callanan. What these beautiful people have built for members and the things they have achieved for our Australian community are extraordinary, worthy of the highest praise and acknowledgement. Pia, Libby, Courtney and Helen leave a legacy in NDAN that will be honoured and respected and one which I am sure will continue to inspire us all. For the next 12 months we are committed to focusing on Natural Death and in doing so we hope to engage with all of our members to best determine how to go about that. I think I speak for everyone on the new committee when I say that we see so much potential in NDAN and we are looking forward to working for and with you to realise a new set goals. Yours kindly, Bec Lyons NDAN President
