16.01.2022 For those local to Warragul.... Towards the end of last term we lost our gorgeous Crossing Supervisor, known affectionately as Bluey. Mr Ron Green had been the School Crossing Supervisor on Brandy Creek Road for 18 years, and will be sadly missed by the families who he had helped cross the road safely every day. ... Since moving to Warragul last year, Bluey was our guide across the road, and at the age of 80 he often said he didnt want to retire as he adored the children he saw every day. Bluey was a generous, hard working man, who was diligently waiting for us, rain, hail or shine. After working at the crossing for 18 years, Bluey knew the names of all the kids, parents and dogs who regularly crossed Brandy Creek Road, and he will be sorely missed. It is people like Bluey, who are the pillars of local communities, and one of the reasons why I wanted to start this page. RIP Mr Ron Green (Bluey) 30/09/1939-24/06/2020 Lets celebrate the everyday essential workers in our local communities. Comment below with people you know, who do amazing work every day for their local community! xoxo

08.01.2022 Hey everyone, Okay, so this headband idea has gone CRAZY! I thought I may get a few orders, but have had over 100 people contact me, and already am well over 150 headbands needed. ... I work part time, study and have two kids, so its going to take some time to get as many done as I can... So Ill be putting the fabric options (and quantities of the headbands in that fabric) in 2 albums on this page, tomorrow. There will be guidelines about what you need to do to order on the albums, so please read that carefully. You can then comment sold with a quantity on the fabric youd like. I purchased some fabrics today, and will upload photos of them into the albums tomorrow morning, and orders will then be opened. There were tonnes of gorgeous fabrics available, but Ive only selected a handful to make it manageable for myself. The albums will be uploaded tomorrow on my business page, link below. Please note: the fabrics, elastic and buttons (WOW buttons are expensive) was more than I anticipated so the headbands will now be $15 each which will cover the material costs, as well as some of my time AND $2 from each will be donated back into making headbands for local healthcare workers. Pick up is in Warragul, or postage is available, prices will be listed on the albums. Check back on this page tomorrow morning (around 10am) for fabric options and to order. Please make sure you read the album guidelines before ordering. Thanks everyone! xo

05.01.2022 Theres never been a better (or worse) time to shine a light on the importance and high value of parenting. This crazy corona crisis is doing a great job of turning life as we know it upside down - but this new perspective is not all bad. Its highlighting an issue thats been festering inside many Australian homes for decades: the high levels of stress and sheer exhaustion experienced by parents of young children trying to achieve that elusive balance of work and family. Rai...sing children is hard enough at the best of times. But throw in a pandemic, self-isolation and working from home with your kids...well that just takes the challenge to a whole new level. To help parents through this unsettling time Tanya Dannock from Adaptability At Work has created a free A-Z guide for parents juggling work and family (and everything else!). You can download it for free here: http://adaptabilityatwork.com.au/az-guide.html And if you find it helpful please share it with other parents.

05.01.2022 So important to share...please share far and wide, it may save a life xo If you need support please reach out to someone or contact: Beyond Blue: 1300 224 636 Lifeline: 13 11 44 Suicide Line: 1300 651 251

04.01.2022 HEADBAND UPDATE! Today I finalised the Knit Fabric template and started sewing! The Cotton version with elastic will be tested out tomorrow, but I wasnt worried about that version as its less stretchy and will hold the buttons better. ... All invoices will be sent tonight, once payment is received please allow around a week for the order to be made, and youll be notified when theyre in the post! 118 headbands already ordered, what have I done to myself haha! As $2 from each headband is being donated towards fabric, it means already theres around $200 I can use to buy fabric, elastic and buttons to make FREE headbands for local healthcare workers! YAY! Thanks everyone! xoxo

03.01.2022 Hump Day funny for you all! https://www.facebook.com/iFunny/videos/1522122517908592/UzpfSTU3NDU2OTIwNTk5NzI2NjpWSzoxNTIyMTIyNTE3OTA4NTky/

03.01.2022 PRE-ORDER NOW! Will be ready by Friday 23rd July. Button headbands $12 each PLUS $2 from every headband will go towards making FREE headbands for local healthcare workers. Masks are becoming part of our reality, and its now recommended that people in regional areas wear them when around lots of people (supermarkets etc). ... Theyre great but the elastic can also hurt your ears, so Im about to start bulk making button headbands. These headbands look great and the elastic is attached to the headband, taking the pressure off your ears. Perfect for healthcare and aged care workers who are wearing them for long periods of time. As well as those in various workplaces, going out shopping or for students wearing them at school. Two styles available: Soft stretchy knit (either flat or with a cute twist) or cotton with an elastic section for stretch. Sizes will be made for 5 and under, 5-12 years and 12-adults. Stay tuned for fabric choices, but if you would like to order some let me know so I can work out roughly how much fabric to buy. SEND A PM TO ORDER...
