25.01.2022 I'm sorry I've been away so long. As I mentioned in my most recent post, it's been a TOUGH YEAR! Plus, in the last 2 months, I had to move house twice, I finally got the chance to visit my family (+ brand new nephew!) in Tasmania, and my partner had a rather big operation which makes me #1 Nurse! I feel the year is hurtling to Christmas! But now I'm happily settled here in my new office and I wanted to introduce myself again to new followers! You've probably noticed that I w...rite a lot about Endometriosis - an inflammatory disease that affects about 1 in 9 women in Australia and also around the world. As a woman with endo myself, I set out to heal myself naturally as there were not many answers coming from the medical world. This has led me to right where I am now - an Endometriosis Wellness Specialist providing natural endometriosis support. I'm a certified holistic wellness coach and I've been practicing for over 10 years. Nothing makes me happier than helping women find relief, hope, vitality and the power to control their health again. Thanks for connecting with me here on IG and FB as I share current research, natural therapies, tips and practices for living and healing with endometriosis. You can also find me at my website jolincolnewellness.com and I've recently been interviewed in a 2-part series on the podcast In Her Flow. Here's also a few funny facts about me 1. I'm a bit of a Monica - I love to have things neat and tidy! 2. I can't sleep in a room with an illuminated light. 3. I love cooking and eating food. I think about food A LOT! 4. If I had to choose between entree/main or main/dessert, I would choose entree/main. 5. I run every day, but I used to HATE running! Leave me a comment below with a funny fact about you! 25.01.2022 Tomorrow we greet the last month of the year 2020. I think I can speak for many in saying that it has been one inTENSE year! For me personally, it has been one of the hardest of my life, and it hit me smack bang! Even as a wellness coach and endometriosis specialist, I have never felt more vulnerable with my physical and mental health this year and I have had to call into action all the wellness practices I know to keep me afloat. And sometimes, even then, it was just slog, s...log, slog. I'm aware that 2020 probably hit those of us with endometriosis a little bit harder. Due to the nature of the condition (see my last post!), women with endo already have an over-sensitised central nervous system and so any further load can really see us wobble! There's also a strong association with those who are highly sensitive empaths (HSE) and endometriosis. Highly sensitive empaths have the ability to feel physical symptoms and emotions of others. They are finely tuned-in to the world around them and can become easily drained when they are around negative energy which can come from people or events. Group energy of grief can impact them greatly (such as a global pandemic!). Does this sound like you? On a meta-physical level, Women's Health Expert, Christiane Northrup, explains that endometriosis is related to blocked pelvic energy that occurs "when a woman's emotional needs are competing with her functioning in the outside world", and while endometriosis is not a lifestyle disease, I believe the healing-management of endo is closely linked to how we choose to live our lives. So endo-warriors, this calls for lots of self-nurturing! Make the month of December 2020 your month to take exqusite care of yourself. Take time to be alone to tune into your own energy and emotions. Put time aside to reconnect with your beautiful body, to be in the wild, to understand yourself, and when you have had this time, don't forget to re-connect with your support crew - those people who love you and have your back. 09.01.2022 Wishing you all a very restful and happy holiday season and a new year that brings with it joy, relief and reunions with those who love us. My word, it's been a tough year and I won't lie and say that it's getting easier in these last few festive weeks. But what this year has taught us is how deep our resilience can flow. Having a chronic disease such as endometriosis already teaches us resilience, strength and sacrifice, but this year of the pandemic has taught us to dig d...ig dig extra deep. I'm currently sending this message to you from the Northern Beaches of Sydney in lock-down and I know so many of you are in similar situations. Remember to take heart, look to the love and the beauty in your life and remember how amazing you have been this year! I'm also learning to flip my narrative. Instead of asking "why is this happening to me?!", instead I ask, "how is this happening for me?" Sending you all so much love and I can't wait to journey together in 2021 #endo2020 #goodbye2020 #endo #endometriosis #endofyear #endometriosiswarrior #endostrong #endosisterhood #endosisters #endometriosisaustralia #endometriosissupport #endocoaching #wellnesscoach #endospecialist #womenshealth See more

06.01.2022 Found this little message on my run today for passers by It reminded me that understanding the essence of time is so important. It’s when we want or expect things right away, or try and squeeze too much in, and we run out of time, that we become stressed, and forget to enjoy or acknowledge or be still in the moment, where we are at right now, in all its flawed & beautiful glory. It’s also good to look back over time and remember what we have achieved, or how we have grown, or what has changed, or altered. Because change does take time. And it’s very helpful to review it’s sometimes slow but sure progress. Sending lots of love #goodthingstaketime #endohealth #endo #endometriosis #womenshealth #endocoach #time #reflect #endowarrior #endosisters
