24.01.2022 Wishing you all a safe and Happy Easter
21.01.2022 A young Melbourne man who was critically ill with COVID-19 and suffering early stages of blood poisoning made a remarkable recovery after being given massive doses of vitamin C, leaving doctors amazed. For years, orthodox medicine has engaged in denialism regarding the evidence showing the health benefits of vitamin C therapy. It is good to see the boundaries are finally starting to come down.

19.01.2022 Vulnerable people in the UK will be receiving 4 month's supply of vitamin D from this January: The government is taking action to ensure vulnerable individuals can access a free supply to last them through the darker winter months. This will support their general health, keep their bones and muscles healthy and, crucially, reduce the pressure on our NHS. Research is ongoing to investigate the link between vitamin D and Covid-19 protection, including a project at Queen Mary ...University of London investigating if correcting people’s vitamin D deficiencies over winter can reduce the risk and/or severity of Covid-19 and other acute respiratory infections. https://www.theguardian.com//more-than-25m-people-in-engla

09.01.2022 A home-made body butter is a natural way to help to moisturise your skin, especially those tougher, dry spots like your knees, elbows and heels. The colour of ...your body butter will vary depending on your choice of liquid herbs. We recommend calendula for it's skin-healing properties and chamomile to calm any skin redness. Ingredients: 1/4 cup grapeseed oil, 1/4 cup shea butter, 1/4 cup cacao butter, 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1.5 tbsp liquid herbs (such a chamomile or calendula), a couple of drops essential oil such as Lavender (optional). Recipe: Melt all ingredients together in a double boiler, put in the fridge to cool. Once the mixture starts to set, whip with electric egg beaters until fluffy. Place into sterilised jars and store in the fridge. Follow us throughout December as we share MediHerb's 12 Days of Self-Care to help you and your patients get through this busy time of year.

05.01.2022 It's interesting to see Thai officials are open-minded about the potential for herbs to treat Covid-19. Sadly our govt is so far behind the mark looking for more natural solutions like Andgrgrahpis, Vit D and C etc. "In late December 2020, the government of Thailand approved a pilot study of the use of the southern Asian herb andrographis (Andrographis paniculata, Acanthaceae) to treat early symptoms and reduce the severity of COVID-19. Initially, the treatment will be avail...able at five state-owned hospitals in Thailand, on a voluntary basis for people 18-60 years old with minor symptoms. It reportedly will be given to patients within 72 hours of symptom onset. This approval comes amid an increase of COVID-19 infections in the country." "Called fah talai jone in Thai and the king of bitters, among other names, andrographis is a small annual plant. In India’s traditional medical system of Ayurveda, the plant’s dried leaves and shoots are used for bronchitis, cough, diarrhea, dyspepsia (indigestion), fever, inflammation, and skin diseases. In traditional Chinese medicine, the plant has been used to treat colitis (inflammatory disease of the colon), cough, dysentery, fever, influenza, and sore throat. Modern studies have focused on andrographis’ potential benefits for respiratory and digestive conditions." Read about it here http://herbalgram.org//thailand-approves-asian-herb-andro/
05.01.2022 Great watch if you’re home in lock down. Eat your healthy grass fed/organic saturated fat sources, avoid processed carbs and nasty seed oils.
