22.01.2022 Happy international woman's day! Check out this awesome video put together by the team at Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA, featuring our very own Thea McDonald-Lee, just one of the many amazing ladies giving up their time volunteering in the community. We're always on the lookout for volunteers, so if you're thinking of getting involved, come check us out! Volunteer Marine Rescue Western Australia

22.01.2022 Massive thanks to Busselton Toyota for helping us out with the replacement of our ageing Nissan Patrol that was unfortunately unfit for duty - now we've got a nice shiny Navara that should last us a while and allows us to get our Naiad out and about where we need her. We couldn't have got there without Busselton Runners Club Half Marathon & Fun Run generous donation, we were lucky enough to be the recipients of this years donation drive! Busselton Toyota have helped a n...umber of the volunteer emergency service groups in the region over the years with replacement vehicles and accessories, it's great to have the support of such a prominent local business. 20.01.2022 An incredible story of bravery from our brothers and sisters of the RNLI, 36 years on but a tragedy that we shouldn't forget.. RIP.

20.01.2022 Naturaliste VMR were very well represented on the Sea Survival courses being run this weekend, crews from Margaret River Volunteer Marine Rescue, Albany Sea Rescue Squad, Busselton Volunteer Marine Rescue and ourselves went through vessel abandonment, liferaft deployment and righting, flares and firefighting at sea. Thanks to Busso for their hospitality and to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA crew for organising everything, and congrats to the trainers who got signed off to instruct the courses next time!

18.01.2022 Busy week coming up for our brothers and sisters in green - please remember to stay alert for emergency vehicles on the road, if you see lights and sirens, pull over and stay out of their way, one day they could be coming for you....

13.01.2022 A lot of stress and hard work was generated by this campaign, super stoked it's come to a successful outcome for the community, well done guys and girls, great to see all the hard yards paying off!

08.01.2022 It was great to meet these guys and girls and thank them for the huge effort they put in to raising $10,000 for our new tow vehicle, possibly the most athletic people to ever grace the boat shed bar, except Geoff of course. We're very lucky to have such a great community around to support us, and we truly appreciate it. Thanks for the coverage Busselton Dunsborough Times ... 07.01.2022 So after receiving a message out of the blue, we've had our website, https://naturalistevmr.com/ completely revamped very quickly and professionally by Aires Bancod. If you're a not for profit (or a private entity) and looking to get your website up to date, drop him a line on FB (or drop us a line and we'll get you his email). It's people like this, whether they be tradesmen, trainers, builders, or IT specialists, donating their valuable time willingly, that allow us to kee...p focusing on what we do by taking care of the things that matter, but that we don't have the expertise to do ourselves. To Aires, and to everyone that's donated their time, resources, skills and knowledge to us over the years, Thankyou. Volunteer Marine Rescue Western Australia #Naturalistevmr

06.01.2022 A great common sense result for the community!

05.01.2022 YEWWW COMPETITION TIME! Bob has got himself a brand new pommy girlfriend, he looks pretty stoked about it, her not so much... his bulges may be inappropriate but his heart is in the right place. - Anyhow - we need a name for her! She has 'Ruth' tattooed on the side of her head but we'll put that down to a previous relationship, so what're we gonna call her? (We tried dummy mcdummyface but we've already got a member with that nickname).... Stick your name suggestions in the comments below, the winner gets to go with her on her first swim :-) Dunsborough, Western Australia Busselton Dunsborough Times Volunteer Marine Rescue Western Australia Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA

04.01.2022 Whether you’re heading north or south, PLEASE make sure that your boats and their contents are secure - double check before hitting the road. Don’t be this guy....

04.01.2022 Next time you think you're having a bad day moving your boat, think of this guy....

04.01.2022 It was a busy long weekend for our Volunteer crews with multiple calls for vessel assistance and a life saved - we're happy to know that the person involved is safe and well with no serious injuries. There have been a few people washed out to sea around these rocks over the years, so please don't switch off entirely when in holiday mode - the sea doesn't take a break (luckily neither do we).
