Drizzled with a little olive oil and lemon juice. Super quick, nutrient dense and completely satisfying. ... The children ate every bit and asked for more! One of the most common questions I am asked by clients is how to improve childrens eating habits. While this will of course vary for each person, there are some fundamental approaches that can be broadly applied. 1) Choose fresh, seasonal foods. 2) Colour - lots of it! Theres research on this! 3) Make the meal nutrient dense and balanced. Be sure to add some good fats to the veges and protein and carbohydrates for growing bodies and minds. 4) Grow some food and ensure the children are involved in this. Youll be surprised how much they snack on fresh food from your own garden, plus harvesting your own food creates a connection to the food. Children love it! 5) Eliminate anything that is not real food - 95% of the supermarkets. Just dont buy it and instead learn about REAL FOOD. It may seem challenging at first, but keep in mind our bodies are perfectly designed to seek the best path to wellness and actually want REAL FOOD. 6) Trust yourself and your body.
