All our nutritional supplements for cagebirds were developed over 9 years by Dr. Sarah Pryke and the Save the Gouldian Fund research team to support their work with several finch species at ANU, Canberra and the research facility of Mike Fidler’s in NSW. The research on captive Gouldians at ANU is now ended (and indeed the research block of aviaries there has been demolished). Consequently we have a large number of items which are now surplus. We have decided to sell them off with all funds going back to Save the Gouldian Fund to be reinvested in research. In Australian waters the commonest cuttlefish is Sepia rozella, but the most famous is the Giant Cuttlefish (Sepia apama), found in South Australia. Of course for bird breeders cuttlefish bone is a great source of calcium. But how do you present cuttlefish for your birds? Whole cuttlefish or chunks on the floor is not very hygienic, but our great Sepia holders keep your cuttlebone clean and dry and accessible to one bird at a time. 01.01.2022 We received great news today from IP Australia advising that our Trademark on PRIMA has been registered. So we have Trademark protection on the name for the next ten years. This has been a long process commencing in April last year. We already had Trademark protection for FitGrit.
