06.01.2022 Wow, how is it already back-to-school time?! My kids start school this week and I’m feeling a little and about it. School will look a lot different for ...us this year. Like a lot of other families out there, we are opting for remote-learning. This is new, uncharted territory for us and on one hand, it feels a bit overwhelming, but it also feels a bit liberating too. I’m definitely excited about having more time to do fun nature-based crafts with my kids this school year. Like these cute Twig Letters! They are an excellent way to get preschoolers excited about learning their ABCs and a fun way for older kids to practice their fine motor skills. Joan makes a delicious coffee and she has a lovely selection of locally made products to check out. A Gaggle of Geese Cafe stocks a small selection of my beeswax food wraps. 01.01.2022 There’s a not-so-new craze that encourages your children to scatter oat and glitter out on your lawn to help the reindeer find your home. A while ago I mentione...d that glitter is made up of tiny bits of plastic. The glitter that’s scattered on your lawn ends up in the waterways, and quite often it’s consumed by creek and sea-life. I’m not suggesting you ditch the activity altogether, it’s important to build special life-long Christmas memories with your children like this.
