22.01.2022 Deep & meaningful in 3 2 1 As my 1st business anniversary approaches, I definitely resonate with this - Naturally Rustic is turning ONE next month on the 29th September and it has been a long and emotional rollercoaster of learning. I have had so many ups & downs - excitement, failures, joy, self-doubt, success, and even strong urges to give up, but I always have two really good things going for me 1. I am incredibly stubborn and 2. I am a mum of two loving & caring c...hildren, so I dont have a great deal of time for all things negative, and that is what keeps me determined to pursue my dreams and goals I endeavor to achieve in my business. I havent even scratched the surface yet, this is only the beginning. It wont happen overnight, it may not always go to plan, and its inevitable that I will make mistakes in the future, but I will be ready to learn from those mistakes and I will always be looking forward to seeing my dreams come to life, slowly but surely. 19.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! I cant believe it Spring is literally just around the corner, my favourite time of year as I am sure it is for so many. This year is flying by so fast and yet, kinda slow. It has certainly been a long and difficult year so far for us all, but it feels like only yesterday when covid began to take over and change our lives so drastically. How have you all coped throughout the last 6 months, what has been your mantra to get you through it? Whenever times get tough, I always like to keep telling myself #thistooshallpass which really helps me to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. I am confident that we will all come out the other side stronger than ever. We got this I wish you all an amazing weekend and dont forget to cherish all the good times to come.

17.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous week. Heres a little snapshot of what I have been up to lately - Re-branding, website building, new product development, as well as making all your beautiful orders. To say the least, I have been super busy these past few weeks and will be even busier, as we head into September/Spring, YAY, and I prepare to launch my own website (more details on that coming soon) I am so excited, especially now that it is finally t...ime to begin sharing all the news with you. As many new doors begin to open, others are being closed, beginning with the wooden stands that come with your birch wood slice plaques. From the very beginning, I had a vision, and now it is finally coming to fruition - I will be upgrading from the current stands (made from MDF), to a high-quality, handcrafted, natural wooden stand made by @damionfauser (IG) from certified sustainable Australian hoop pine. That means 100% Eco-friendly, 100% natural, and 100% Australian made I am absolutely amazed by the quality, extremely grateful that Damion agreed to turn my dream into reality, and proud to be supporting another local #Brisbane business! The easy part (for me) is over, and now I will be working hard to finish all the new stands by hand. I will be sharing the entire process with you over the coming weeks so be sure to watch this space if youre interested in all the details. I have almost completely sold out of the current MDF stands (Only 3 left!!!), which does mean that the personalised birch wood slice plaques will soon be unavailable, but only for a little while, just until the new stands are ready. Not to worry though, I do have something new, but quite different from the birchwood slices, that I hope you will enjoy as much as I will enjoy making them for you. 16.01.2022 Update I know it's been a while but after a little trial & error and super long shipping delays waiting for more supplies, I can finally share what's new. I have been busy painting the wooden stands - swipe to see a quick progress shot - After trying out a few paint types I came across the amazing world of milk paint and I am really loving the results! They're still not quite finished so I will share more details over the next 2 weeks but right now I can reveal that these black iron stands will also be available, as well as the wooden stands! They look absolutely gorgeous These will all be available soon on my website which is going live in less than 2 weeks. So excited!!!

14.01.2022 New! Your photo on repurposed solid pine wood blocks. These are available in two sizes and will be listed online about 6pm tonight. As these will be made using second-hand timber, quantities are limited. I have received a number of requests for rectangle & square-shaped photos on wood in the last year so I am excited to finally have these rectangle pine blocks available. I do hope to have more shapes available, including but not limited to squares, in the near future

03.01.2022 When a customer sent this photo in to be made into a plaque, I knew it was going to look so pretty on the birch wood. It almost looks like a painting! I am absolutely loving how this gorgeous family photo has turned out. A beautiful keepsake that can be treasured for many years to come

03.01.2022 I often feel immense regret when I miss a photo opportunity or I am so busy that I just don't get the camera out, even though I really wanted to. Who else feels this way sometimes? In saying that, I am so grateful for all the beautiful images I am lucky to capture. A moment in time that is gone but can always be cherished, never forgotten

02.01.2022 Do you have a project that you started and then never finished?... This is one of the first wood photo slices I made A photo of me, my son, and daughter on a birch wood slice that was taken back in 2013. After our photography shoot was finished, I had no idea what I wanted to do with our photos, I just knew I wanted to do something different, so I decided to purchase the digitals because then my options wouldnt be limited to a few prints. I am so glad I made that investmen...t because after making this piece, I have been wanting to create my own wall mural featuring my favourite photos from our photo shoot on wood. This is what inspired me to start my business which is the reason I havent finished my project but I am hoping to get back into it and finish before the end of 2020. I will be looking forward to sharing it with you when I do. Got some pics of your unfinished project? As Naturally Rustics 1st anniversary is getting even closer (29th of September), I hope that all my plans will come together and to launch my own website for a brand new start! 01.01.2022 Really loving this style of art by @fleurartmariia - The crisp detail and soft hues in this gorgeous hand drawn hummingbird and flowers are stunning, and it looks amazing on the birch wood. I am hanging this little beauty on my wall, but I will be listing some for sale over the weekend - www.madeit.com.au/NaturallyRustic. They will be approximately 6x5 inches in diameter (they are beautifully odd shaped slices like the one pictured here) and 2cm thick and will have a hanger attached on the back.
