I do believe that most of us can agree that this has been a year that's had a massive impact on each and everyone of us, some more then others, but overall we all had to get through this year and adjust to the changes it's brought with it. Due to COVID, one of my most essential products, gloves, has had a price increase of 450%. It's shocking. Therefore, I had to review my prices and adjust it accordingly to accommodate for the unexpected price increases that COVID... had on our industry. For me time has flown by extra fast and I still find myself in disbelief that in more or less 2 weeks I will no longer only be a mum to a little princess but also to a little prince... 19.01.2022 To all my wonderful clients I've been receiving quite a few messages asking when the salon will re-open and thought I'd share an update for all of you x This blue-eyed boy of mine is now 4 months young and I'm so so grateful that I've been able to spend all my time with him. I've decided to keep him all to myself untill the end of the year before I have to share him with his grandma and dad () on the days I'll be looking after you ladies/gents. I'll be back in the salon f...rom January 2021 I hope all of you have been good and life treating you well :) I do miss being in the salon and can't wait to see you all in the new year. 08.01.2022 I've found myself having to make this decision sooner than expected. Only a week ago I still had the mindset that I'd have my salon open for as long as possible with extra precautions put in place to protect you, my wonderful clients, as well as myself. But as most of you have seen by now, Covid-19 is spreading, numbers climbing rapidly as the days go by and new rules and restrictions are put in place daily. It's because of this reason that I've decided that Saturday the 28th... of March will be my last day and the salon will be closed until further notice. This decision was made firstly, to contribute to stopping the spread of Covid-19. Although extra precautions have been put in place in my salon, it's been known that people can carry the virus without showing any symptoms and there by spreading it unknowingly. Thus, finding the decision to be over cautious more beneficial to our community than to take the risk. And secondly, as some of you already know, I'm 24w pregnant and although the current (and very little) research show that pregnant women are not particularly at a higher risk of being extra vulnerable to this virus, my first priority should now be to stay healthy for myself and bub and my family by social distancing myself which you would understand is impossible in the nature of my work and thus made me come to decision to close my salon sooner. I've been truly blessed with clients being extra considerate towards me being pregnant through this time and I'm forever grateful for that. I do hope with all my heart that this will soon be over and that all of you will stay safe and healthy until then x If we all do our part and respect the rules and restrictions that's put in place, I believe we will see the end of this pandemic sooner.
