20.01.2022 Poor Dr Simon Wong ruptured his Achilles tendon and had surgery to repair it 2 weeks ago. All the staff have done an amazing job at helping make this time run as smoothly as possible. Everyone at Natural Smiles Centre would like to say a big thank you to all our patients for your understanding and co-operation over the past couple of weeks. Our patients will always be a priority, and we sincerely thank you all for being amazing during this time. A huge thank you also to Dr Kar Mun Chan for seeing many of Simons patients along with running her already busy Paediatric Dental Clinic. Dr Wongs surgery went well and he will be back on board soon, with limited hours as he is healing. Simon is getting the best care at home and his cat is keeping him company!

15.01.2022 Here at Natural Smiles Centre we care about your children's teeth and their ongoing oral health. We work hard to give your child the best possible smile. We are unable to give proper check ups and cleans like your family dentist. So please make sure your child sees a general dentist every 6 months for a regular check up - if there is any decay or gum disease it is caught early. If they're not wearing full time or it's not fitting right (and you're awaiting an appointment with us), please make sure you pop it into the appliance box you've been issued with. Unfortunately we have had a couple of patients loose their appliances lately, and accidents do happen but it's an expensive replacement.

If you take a large number of children that have attention deficient disorder and you evaluate them for sleep disorder breathing, about a fifth to a quarter of those youngsters will have sleep disorder breathing, or pediatric obstructive sleep apnea. He continued,... The most important aspect of evaluating a child for ADHD or other attention problems is to do a sleep evaluation. A sleep evaluation is essential in every single child that is being evaluated. 100% of those children need a sleep evaluation." Lack of sleep and/or quality sleep affects childrens physical and emotional health, cognitive functioning, behavior, and academic success. Sleep screening and interventions to improve sleep should be part of a routine clinical exam.
