19.01.2022 Some comic relief for you - even serious things like conservation need a laugh sometimes

15.01.2022 If you're into cool and weird human-nature connections, it's worth checking out My Octopus Teacher, the new Netflix documentary. Made by a film-maker who finds a friend in an octopus while freediving off the South African coast, the film features beautiful footage, a peek into the day-to-day of the octopus, and a budding relationship between these two very different animals. Happy weekend watching

14.01.2022 We're heading off to our Spring Wild Village Family Camp So excited to connect with families on the land, to dip into spring with the children and feel the goodness of community. This is a video was made by the wonderful Emily King last year to give you an idea of what happens in the Wild Village. It's truly a unique experience, full of magic and connection!... We'll be holding another Wild Village probably in autumn next year, stay tuned #wildvillage #schoolholidays #natureschool #communityliving

10.01.2022 We have been reminded, again, how special and wonderful the practice of sit spotting is. We just completed the 7 Day Sit Spot Challenge for the second time, and it was such a deepening experience! An intrepid group of curious and committed humans went out every day, shared their experiences, supported and witnessed each other, and had big conversations. All of us learning together! ... We were been blown away with the incredible enthusiasm and commitment that was shown by our Challenge tribe... you know who you are! We shared in a true journey of nature connection - full of adventures, truths, vulnerabilities and stories. It's amazing that such a simple and beautiful practice can reach into the deepest parts of who we are as humans. Our faith in humanity has been deeply inspired. Here are a small selections of beauties from the Challenge... so much wonderful sharing. Thank you to Melissa Hellwig (arranged plants), Alexandra Knight (frogpond orchestra), Adam Scott (falcon drawing), Bethanie Jolly (poem) and Lisa Adams (Yellow Spotted Honeyeater drawing). Stay tuned for the Sit Spot Challenge coming soon to you... this time it will be a permanent online course! #sitspot #natureconnection #healtheworld

08.01.2022 equinox = equal // night (Latin aequi- ‘equal’ + nox, noct- ‘night) An equinox happens when the sun’s path passes through the earth’s celestial equator - an imaginary line that goes from our equator out into space. It happens twice a year, in spring and autumn, and the length of the day and night are equal. The vernal (spring) equinox peaks tonight in Australia. Seasonally, this marks the movement into the warmest months, leaving the darkness of winter behind.... It can also mean that on a deeper level - stripping off our winter layers, both physically and psychologically, and springing into the newness of spring, warmth and light. We all feel it, our bodies respond to the changes in the air and suddenly everything is busy, full of life!! We invite you to take some time today or tomorrow to reflect on your winter, this time of pause and isolation, and transition into this fresh new time. May it bring peace, hope, authenticity and wealth of the greatest kind ** This Meteosat timelapse shows a year from space in 13 seconds, the equinoxes - when the shadow is vertical - and the solstices - when the shadows are north and south respectively. #equinox #markingtime #lettinggo #astronomy #timeforchange

04.01.2022 Do you talk to trees? Because they have conversations, with each other and with their messengers, the fungi. What a strange alchemy of science and magic!! We love trees. Hug them, talk to them, sleep under them, cherish them.... #treespeak #scienceiscool #naturestudies
