20.01.2022 Sustainable garden conversion. Lawn to native habitat as well as overflow parking. Watch this space... ok today - 2020 March 18th - finished the white scoria dust and stones. Put a few more native tube stock from Trees in Newcastle but still need a few more plants to grow in the stones. Dry river bed theme. Will post more pics as the garden starts to grow more.

09.01.2022 Lovely Outing to see the Coastal Heathland wildflowers at Awabakal Nature Reserve today! Also saw Redhead native garden (see before-April 2018, and after pics-July 2019).

06.01.2022 Its easy to create a sustainable garden! See view to front of house 15th July 2020. Note the fast growth since Dec 2019, even though no soil or fertilisers were... added! The composting lawn and natural minerals in the soil are enough for good growth of natives! See the growth of the Saltbush (edible leaves - makes great chips!).There is other 'bush food' such as Midyim Berry. The Grevillea 'Flamingo' is about to come into flower with many buds - btw, the edible nectar from these native flowers tastes delicious (just tap the flower onto your hand and lick it)! Will post more pics soon... See more

06.01.2022 I'm running free workshops - today at Toronto Library 10-12pm is Birdscaping using the 'Slow Gardening' method.

As the photo of an undescribed moth on Boronia coerulescens from Kalbarri NP in WA (credit Andy Young) shows, some are beautiful, metallic and dance in the sun. We are a passionate group of amateur entomologists and over the last ten years of family holidays, weekends and extended highly-focused field trips have discovered that...Continue reading
