25.01.2022 A bracelet / anklet with a funny story: This Opal is a find from Andamooka in South Australia. I did cut the Opal many years ago and left several pieces drying on the Veranda. They simply vanished and I didn't think of them for a long time. More than a year later I found them in the bower of the Bower bird that lives in the corner of our garden. A bower bird bower is build to impress female birds and the male bird collects all sorts of shiny things to do so. Well, what a fancy choice with Opal :). The Opals were stained by the eucalyptus leaves around them, which makes the base rock appear much darker than it usually is. So this piece of Opal has lived for a year in a Bowerbird bower to impress females. I hope it did the trick before I demanded it back. https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/999575754
