He is mentioned in the Puranas as the Lord of Ayurveda. He, during the Samudramanthan arose from the Ocean of Milk with the nectar of immortality. It is common practice in Hinduism for worshipers to pray to Dhanwantari seeking his blessings for sound health for themselves and/or others, especially on dhanteras or Dhanwantari just two days before Diwali or The Festival of Lights .
05.01.2022 Tips to reduce Gas and bloating in stomach the natural way Eating warm cooked foods instead of raw foods help in easy digestion and prevention of Vata and Bloating in the body. Eating at regular intervals and chewing the food slowly and properly. Chewing a small piece of Ginger(5 g) along with rock salt(2 g) before meals help in proper digestion, reduce bloating , clears the throat and tongue. Chewing small teaspoon of fennel seeds after heavy meal helps in preventing... indigestion. Adding small amounts of spices like fennel, cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger, garlic to the meals help in proper digestion and reduce the formation of gas and bloating. Avoid drinking carbonated drinks, too many dairy products, heavy oily hard to digest foods. Avoid swallowing too much air. Ex: while talking too much, always chewing gum, drinking through straw, sleeping with mouth open. Always soak lentils and beans overnight in water as it becomes easier for digestion and cook it with small amounts of spices like asafoetida, garlic, ginger, cumin, fennel, turmeric etc. Certain vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, potato, sweet potato, Brussel sprouts, beans can cause gas and bloating. Avoiding these vegetables for people who are prone to bloating prevents Gas. Avoiding constipation by drinking warm water, fibrous vegetables, prunes prevent bloating. After following advice from an Ayurveda doctor taking Castor oil or triphala in small amounts helps as a mild laxative and thereby in reducing Vata and bloating.
