Take a minute or two and think about something in you...r life where you feel doubt. Be SPECIFIC. And if there are a lot of things, only focus on ONE right now. Got it? Tune in to that doubt now, just for a minute, and give it a number for 0-10, 10 being the most doubt you can feel. Also, where in your body do you feel this doubt? Some people say its a feeling in their stomach or a tightness in their throat. Get really clear and feel the feeling and lets do some Tapping. This language is general because I dont know your specific focus, so can use this as a template and replace your words where appropriate, or just follow it exactly. Most importantly, tap and focus on the feeling! Karate Chop: Even though I feel this doubt in my bodyI deeply and completely accept myself. 03.01.2022 Ginger beneficial for osteoarthritis sufferers Ginger may offer relief to people suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee according to findings of a new study ...published in the Journal of Nutrition in Gerontology and Geriatrics. Investigating the effect of ginger powder on pro-inflammatory cytokines, researchers conducted a randomised double-blind placebo-controlled three-month clinical trial with 120 participants. Ginger is thought to have anti-inflammatory effects although the mechanism of its action is not clear. Some studies indicate that ginger may modulate the concentration and activity of inflammatory mediators in osteoarthritis (OA) by, for example, inhibiting the activation of tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-), interleukin-1 (IL-1), and cyclooxygenase expression. Patients in this trial were randomly assigned to one of two groups - the ginger group, who received 500mg of ginger powder daily for three months or the placebo group receiving 500mg of starch daily for three months. Serum samples were collected at baseline and at three months, and analysed for levels of tumour necrosis factor- (TNF-) and interleukin-1 (IL-1). At the end of the three month trial the results showed that the group receiving the ginger powder had decreased levels of both cytokines, compared to the placebo group. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint disease characterised by degeneration of cartilage, pain, inflammation, impaired mobility, and dysfunction, especially in older populations with current treatment for OA focused on pain relief and improving mobility, including a combination of non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic measures. According to the researchers, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are commonly used to treat OA, but there is increasing concern that long-term consumption may cause gastrointestinal bleeding and cardiovascular risks, mainly hypertension and thrombotic events. Thus, an interest in research has been conducted to find care treatments that have negligible adverse effects while offering significant improvements in the symptoms, the authors said. Our results support the potential benefit of ginger powder (1 g/d) to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF- and IL 1) in older patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, the study authors concluded.
