16.01.2022 I'm utterly thrilled to announce that the first trial associated with my Master's Degree has just been accepted into a Q1 journal (top 25% of international journals) for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Not only is this absolutely huge for me (obviously!), but it helps to strengthen the evidence for complementary and alternative medicine. For those of you who are curious, my topic was the use of probiotics for osteoarthritic pain using an N-of-1 trial design. ... For those of you who suffer from insomnia, I'll post up a link as soon as it gets published

01.01.2022 Nasturtiums are one of those plants you can often walk past and think of a weed since they can grow out of control in some areas . You can eat the flowers and... leaves and makes for a great peppery pesto or add to salad & stir fry’s . Nasturtiums are excellent to plant amongst your veggie patch as pests are attracted to the flowers and they will leave your fruits, vegetables or other crops alone. Nasturtiums, therefore, are known as a trap crop. As a trap crop, they are an excellent choice for keeping pests away from beans, tomatoes, fruiting trees and brassicas (plants in the cabbage family). Nasturtiums can also be used as a sort of green manure, they improve the soil in a given area by adding nutrients when left to decompose in place at the end of the growing season, or chopped and dropped. . . . #Nasturtiums #edible #ecologicalmangement #trapcrop #plantpower #herbalist #naturopath #veggiegarden See more

01.01.2022 I couldn't resist taking a pic of my broccolini flowering. A member of the brassica family, broccolini are rich in beta-carotene (precursor to vitamin A), antioxidants including sulforaphane and indole-3-carbinol which has been shown to prevent cancer! #healthygarden #homegrown #nutrition #herbaltherapy #naturopathy
